  1. Dear Sirs,

Do you think it would make more sense to release all the tour issue apparel and accessories to retail? I'm sure you get tired of being asked how can I get this/that after someone sees something a tour player has got. I'm sure this would be well received by the consumer & result in an increase of sales. I can appreciate offering tour option with clubs would be too difficult but with apparel/accessories I'm sure it could be rolled out??

    Hi Rob,

This question comes up fairly frequently, but the situation is that Titleist is a golf ball and golf equipment (clubs) manufacturer. We have carried out research alongside our sister brand FootJoy which shows that most golfer's preference is for FootJoy clothing.

The presence of the Titleist script on the shirts / jumpers worn by Titleist ambassadors is simply to underline their association with the Titleist brand.

I will pass on your feedback, as the adage "never say never" is a good one to uphold!

    Best regards

  3. Neil,

I fully understand that footjoy is the preferred choice for apparel and that the titleist logo is there just to show the association to the brand. However, that's my point, surely it would be beneficial to offer this setup to your customers as a custom order bcoz 99% of your customers would prefer the tour look given the chance! Another example would be the titleist winter beanie hat that I spotted this week at St Andrews at the Dunhill Links, the hat is offered to retail customers has just the usual titleist logo on the front, but on tour they get the pro v1, FJ logos to the sides & the titleist boxed logo to the back. You already offer this to retail with your tour caps as they as they appear to be as per what the tour players get. I don't understand why the tour beanie for retail doesn't follow suit because they look poor compared to the actual tour model?? A bit more imagination please!!!!

    Thanks,

    Rob.
