Hi. The 913 was announced just after I was fitted for the 910 at a fitting day. I was fitted for the same shaft I have now,a Proforce V2 76g. I also tried a Fujikura Rombax.

The fitter said that he did not have any other variables or stronger shaft option with him.

Would fitting at St.Ives give access to a greater range of shafts, such as the Fujikura range,Diamana Plus, etc.

I may not require something out of the ordinary but would want to get the best fit as possible as I have a 905R at present and don't really have a problem with it.

So,would a visit to St.Ives be the best option or would I get the same result at a fitting day or at a FittingWorks Retailer.

    Thanks

    Will

    Hi Will,

A fitting at St Ives would, in most cases, give you access to a wider range of shaft and head options in relation to Titleist golf clubs. We do provide a varying number of shaft options to our SureFit / FittingWorks partners (depending upon which type of SureFit account they are - some have more components than others and some have demo clubs), but the Titleist National Fitting Centres would have the largest number of SureFit Tour hosel fitted shafts.

    Hope this helps.

Hi Neil, thanks very much. I'm very happy with my 905R but would have had it 7 years come next season. Was thinking if a change and want to get the best fit possible.

Is trying varies shafts the only way to get the best fit or is it possible to make recommendations from the figures produced from my current club/shaft. St.Ives is a fair distance from me. May ring some fitter in my area to see how many variables they have.

    Thanks again

    Hi Will,

Trying lots of shafts is definitely not the way to get the best fit - you really need to have access to a good and trusted fitter, someone that you have confidence in. A good fitter will watch you hit balls, ask some questions and then give you what they think to be a good starting point in shaft terms. They will then maybe try one or two or three others based on their expertise and understanding of what will optimise your launch and ball flight.

Look for a SureFit account (ideally with a launch monitor and the ability to see the flight of the ball - although not always essential) as they should be able to guide you based on their standing as a PGA pro or club fitter with extensive experience.

    Hope this helps.
