    Hi

I wish to be fitted for a 913 driver at the National Fitting Centre in Cambridge.

Can you believe my luck......the golf retailer I purchase my equipment from has retired and closed his shop as of 31 October therefore I no longer have a preferred stockist.  I am uncomfortable simply approaching my nearest stockist until I have some experience of their services but appreciate that I have to book through a Titleist stockist.

What does the fitting session cost and how long does it last?

If I place an order is the fee credited against my order?

Am I held to the retailer who books my fitting appointment?

    many thanks

    Hi Andrew,

There are two types of appointment - a single category (irons or metals) or a through-the-bag. The former lasts for an hour and the latter for two hours. The cost of the session (and whether all or part of the fee is credited against the order) is determined by the retailer, so you would need to check with them.

Once you have had the fitting, the specs are only sent to your retailer / pro, so you would need to talk to them about getting those details.

    Thanks

    Hi Neil,

what are my chances to sort out a fitting via my pro, a set price  for the 913 driver , yet be able to pick from the factory reception on the same day ?

Titleist I believe are running a fitting session at the golf show with an option to purchase right there and then.

    Regards

    Andy

    Hi Andy,

If you book one of the morning appointments Monday to Thursday, and your pro has authorised the purchase (i.e. you have agreed to pay him), then the club can be built and collected that day.

We are present at the Golf Show with one of our SureFit partners, but there won't be fitting and collection on the same day as far as I am aware - there would be nowhere to build the clubs.

    Hope this helps.

    Good Morning Neil,

Thanks for the reply, i thought so rearding purchsasing a build club from Titleist at the show, its just i received this on email and got slightly confused. (please see below)

I think there will be a store there and if the stock requirements are available in the shop at that time, you just purchase the club.

I guess just going to a normal golf shop and picking up from the shelf.

But in general, this club should be available in most stores from the 9th Nov ?

    Thanks again.

    Hi Andy,

The SureFit account that has booked space on the range will be undertaking fittings (which will be done by Titleist fitters), but they will just be taking orders which I presume will be dispatched to golfers after the show.

The 913 dirvers will be in stores from this week.

    Thanks

    Neil,

Just wanted to ask about the cost of the fitting, as per your reply above, am i correct in thinking that the retailer can offset some of the cost of the fitting against the order if he wants? is there an official stance from titleist on this?

I only ask as i was fitted for th 910's two years ago, i called my pro and told him to order the driver, fairway and hybrid as soon as he recieved the email from titleist, before i had left the car park at the fitting center. when they came in i was charged the full wack (obviously) for the woods, plus the upcharge shafts, plus the fitting fee. He told me there was nothing that could be done and that the charge for the fitting was seperate etc.

I understand charging for the fitting as the lads have to be paid for their time, the facilities have to be paid for, all the overheads etc, and if people get fitted and dont by the product there isnt any income to cover the costs, but i always thought that the cost of the fitting should be reduced or elimated altogether once an order was placed. Im heading up this week to be fitted for the 913, my pro has confirmed with yourselves that we can get fitted and collect on the day, so i will be placing an order and it would useful to know what the situation is.

    Regards

    Tom

    Hi Tom,

Our contract for any fitting is with the pro or retailer that books the appointment - we make a charge to the pro / retailer's account and it is at their how / if that is passed on.

    Best regards
