712 AP1 irons rusting

    Hi,

    I have just noticed some rust spots on the 7 iron of my 712 AP1's. What causes this and how come it has only happened to one of the irons? Is this covered under warranty or is it classed as wear and tear? I have only had them for 7 months.

    Hi Paul,

    Thanks for your question. This is something that should not happen to the irons and one that should be checked out.  If you can take the clubs back to the retailer where you bought them they will be able to arrange for a collection to get it back quickly to us to check and to replace if there is a genuine fault.  If you have only had these for 7 months, then they will still be under our usual 1 year warranty. 

    The rust will not affect the performance of the clubs at all, so you may want to wait until you have a week or 2 break from playing where we can get them back and looked at for you.
