I have been disappointed in my driver performance this year, 913D2 Diamana White 72. My ball flight has too much spin and tends to get wild pushes to the right that put me in trouble off the tee. I have demoed the 915D2 a couple of times in the last 6 months but did not see enough improvement to upgrade. After reading online discussions about the new D4, I began to think this may be good for me.

My club pro is an advanced fitting center and he set me up with a 915D4, Diamana 70X over the weekend to test. I started LAUNCHING monster drives with an increase of 20+ yards in distance. What I really noticed was my right pushes did not move right, just a slight fade with better distance than my old club. The ball flight launched well and just seemed to carry forever, even into the wind. My playing partners were astonished by the pair of 300 yard bombs I hit on the front side par 5s.

I am getting together with my pro tomorrow to check out the stats on the computer, will post details later. The spin reduction with the D4 was so significant I can't wait to get it in my bag.

Follow up:  I went thru a fitting with my pro for the 915D4. My 913D2 spin rate was 3600 rpm with about an angle of attack of -1.0. The 915D4 spin rate is 2700 rpm with AOA of -.5. The landing angle went from 45 to 35 degrees meaning much more roll out after carry. I ordered 915s to replace all my woods and hoping to get them in soon. Can't wait to get 20 more yards!
