Thus weekend was Prestatyn Golf Club, club championship. I've been struggling the last few rounds to get my head in the game, Friday night I played 10 holes and shot +12 which left me full of coincidence as you can imagine (touch of sarcasm)

Saturday morning the alarm went off, I got up played ball with the dogs a nice breakfast and then set off with plenty of time to spare.

I've been slipping resently so some fresh cleats later and a warm up I was ready to give it my all.

Round one started par, birdie, birdie so a great way to begin all I had to do was hole it all together, 39 at the turn and feeling great. I find the back 9 harder then the front but a solid start would definitely help. Unfortunately I had a few to many bogies finishing round 1 with and 80 nett 74 (css 74)

Round 2 I was ready to improve on the mornings score, and started the 1st with a birdie, I bogied the 4th and 9th to finish the front 9 38 +1, time to ready keep my head in the game and hold it together a good score could really push me up the leader board! I bogied the 10th, 11th, 12th and the doubled the 13th. On the 14th tee I took a deep breath and trusted my routine. And managed an extremely respectable 78 in the afternoon round, scores where on the rise in the pm session with the increase of wind. So really happy with the performance.

The css changed to 76 for both rounds and meant that I shot 8 under nett, winning the handicap championship and finished 4th in the gross!

I've been chopped to 5 now, welcome to Cat 1!

Onwards and upwards, next target county team!

I'm really excited, what the future may hold. My next goal is to get to 4 and then get picked for the county team. One step at a time :)

Thanks John, unfortunately the good form didn't continue as I would have liked and had two rounds outside of the buffer zone so back to 5.5! I've got my next round of the Titleist Ko Friday followed by a board comp Saturday were fingers crossed it all comes together!

I've been putting in the time on the practice ground to tryand improve my scores, and really happy with the achievements to date but still want to push forward to my newly set goals!
