  1. I've been playing for several years now with 710 AP's and they've served me well but decided today it was time for a change before the new season kicks in.

Went along for a Trackman fitting at my club, Cumberwell Park, and came away with an order for 5-P, S300 shafts, 1 degree flat. Spin rate is down to just under 6,000, club head speed up by 3mph and around a 4yd gain with each club and a tighter dispersion all around. Can't wait for delivery and to put them in to play :)

917 driver is next but didn't have enough time for the fitting.

ps - that has to be worth a Team Titleist bag tag? ;)

Good luck with the new sticks. I have the 714 AP1 at the moment but am thinking of trying the AP2
  3. Nice one Simon, I have been playing 3-PW AP2 716 , project x 6.0 shafts for 9 months and love them - ball flight is penetrating and lower than previous. Would recommend the SM6 wedges to finish off the set, they are the best I've used.
Like you would love a TT bag tag!!!
  4. Thanks that's good to know. I'm looking forward to the lower ball flight & reduced spin.
I already have 3 of the stunning SM6's, had a fitting with the Titleist rep a few months ago. Couldn't believe the difference in the various grinds and have been shouting about the benefits of a wedge fitting to my playing partners ever since.

I have a club fitting on 30th March at Sweetwoods Golf club, hoping to get the AP2s along with the SM6 Wedges and hopefully 3 and 5 wood

    Kirkcaldy,

Love my 714 ap2's since getting them last year. Simon did you really find a big benefit to having a wedge fitting as I was thinking about getting one before upgrading to the sm6's
  8. Colin I honestly can't stress enough how helpful it was. I have a shallow angle of attack and some of the grinds don't suit me at all, I was chunking them, thinning them, everything but connecting properly and the sound off the face was awful.
The Titleist rep then put me in to an F grind and the difference was like night and day.

It's also important to note that since switching to the SM6's I've noticed a big difference in the amount of spin generated even on short shots. I've had to adjust by playing for less roll on pitches and chips from just off the green.

Go for a fitting, you won't regret it.
