Marriot is a very nice course, if you in the area make sure you play Woodlake park that place is a little Gem, Monmouthshire GC & the rolls is another.

    enjoy your Golf!
  3. St Pierre is very nice, try to get in Machynnys, Cradoc, Llanwern as well

If you fancy a round at Pontardowe let me know its a little gem im a member of

If your playing golf along the south coast of wales, I'd recommend playing any of Porthcawl obv, Pyle and Kenfig, southerndown, Ashburnham, and Tenby, any of those this time of year will be in great condition, and if you can play them off the White tees as opposed to yellows particuarly Tenby its a much better golf course. If your looking at parkland courses, id go for cardiff gc cyncoed which in my opinion is the best around the cardiff area. As someone mentioned the Rolls is a cracker.

There are two courses at the St Pierre, the Old Course and the Mathern, I played the Old Course earlier this month and its a great course with some tricky holes and in great condition. I've only played the Mathern once but was pleasantly surprised, it's not in the same league as the Old Course but well worth a punt if you're looking for a extra game.
I agree the Rolls of Monmouth is a great course, Ross on Wye isn't too far away and is a tight, tree lined course and really enjoyable.
The Celtic Manor has three courses but I'd choose the Roman Rd or the 2010 (if you can afford it!) as the best of their offerings, all within a few miles of St Pierre

Ive not long been back from Celtic Manor, played with 36 of us over the weekend and played all courses absolutely amazing love the place. so this marriot st pierre will be our next destination.

I would recommend playing some of the links courses in East Lothian in Scotland. Dunbar, north Berwick, Gullane, muirfield, archerfield and renaissance are all within 15 miles of each other and are all championship courses
  9. I recommend looking through the Top 100 lists and ticking them off one by one. Maybe start with the courses on The Open rota? The cost to play them is increasing all the time so don't delay if possible. I've played 6 of the rota and found them to be some of the friendliest courses to visit.
Another great option is the European Amateur Golf Tour, which is sponsored by Titleist. Anyone can join and they play many of the best courses in UK&I, Europe and the US.

Hi Simon yeah thats something to look into, i know i want to play st Andrews thats one course that has to be played in anybody's golf journey
  11. Hi Wayne, St Andrews is a must. I've played The Old Course twice in vastly differing conditions. Don't miss the Jubilee and New courses too which are excellent and far tougher than The Old.

Hopefully Hannah won't mind me posting this link as the EAGT is sponsored by Titleist and FJ www.eagt.co.uk/.../tourschedule.aspx
Just check out the venues on there, amazing.
  12. Cheers Simon I will check that out thank you, so many courses you guys are saying to play I really must draw up a bucket list of courses to play. Absolutely fallen in love with golf and the people you meet playing, #TeamTitleist
