I've just arrived home after been very lucky and chosen to go for a fitting at Craigelaw Golf club with Graeme Noblett. I got fitted off him in 2014 at Kings Acre for the 913s and nothing has changed in the way I got fitted, his knowledge is second to none about Titleist and the way the clubs are fitted and should be used. Many thanks to Hannah and the guys at team Titleist for this amazing experience, I would encourage anyone to go and be fitted for the correct clubs after seeing the numbers in front of me. Thanks again #TeamTitleist

    Kirkcaldy,

Was there for the opening and it does look an amazing facility. Definitely worth a visit when I replace my ap2's

What did you get fitted for?

I forgot to mention I chose the AP2 irons this year because of the look, feel and numbers. I previously had 3-PW in 716 T-MB.
The AP3 were impressive and felt soft with being cast and also went further than the AP2 but the AP2 just snuck it for me. All the range this year are great and also the new 818 hybrids have went a bit darker to match the 917 colour, they're so easy to hit and I preferred the smaller headed H2.
My order has just been rang in and the patient wait begins :)

  7. Great writeup thanks for sharing.

I was very close to ordering a full set of AP2's this year as the difference in 716 to 718 is massively noticeable however I went with the CB's just based on the feel.

    Nice!

How did the 718 AP2's compare to the 716 TMB's? I've got the 2-5iron TMB and 6-PW AP2 at the moment, Love the TMB and thinking of going full set, but will obviously go with what feels good and gives me the right numbers.

    Hi Tom,
Although the cast AP3 and T-MB did feel nice and they were longer, I just preferred the forged AP2 feel and the ball was coming down steeper so more a chance of it stopping on the greens. I guess it's just preference for the individual and their numbers.
Definitely go and get fit for the 718 range though, it's a great experience.

    Hi Mark,

Just to update, I received my 4-PW AP2 irons with AMT White S300 shafts and 818 H1 21 and H2 23 A4 settings, I bought an H2 23 hybrid and 4 iron to switch around depending on the course/conditions. At the minute the hybrid is winning with the wet and cold conditions as it fly's higher with carry and better at stopping than a 4 iron !
I'm loving the AP2's, they feel sooo soft and the results so far have put a smile on my face, it's just a shame it's coming to Autumn & Winter !New house coming shortly so hopefully sort the garage into a practice area ha ha.....
Good luck to all those lucky enough to be fitted with Titleist this season.

    Regards
    Gary
