Looking back at 2018 what a year its been and the damge its done to my bank account. Firslty my AP2’s came early on and how easy were they going from the MB’s. Thanks to TT for arranging that fitting. Then cane the SM7’s again I was lucky enough to be fitted by Bob Vokey through TT. Then cane the dry weather and our course toughened up meaning playing to a single figure handicap was the best I could ask for as no catergory 1 player was shooting sub par. I won a monthly medal by shooting 1 under to be the only player in the field of 80 under par. Then came TMB 2 iron which had replaced my utility wood and omg what a weapon that is. After all that then came the TS woods and after settling on the TS3’s they arrived in Late October closely followed by a 2018 Laguna from scotty. All in all the most I have spent on golf equipment in a single year. So was it worth it, well yes, the driver puts a smile on my face as I am long but now more accurate. The wedges and what I learnt gabe me confidence. The putter seems to have doubled the size of the hole. So to scoring with the new set up, I have played in 3 qualifiers and due to a new irrigation system going in the have moved our tees forward to the winter ones meaning the SS has moved to 2 under. So to have been cut .4 having shot 72,73 and 72 has left me looking forward to 2019 and what that brings after a winter of practise. So the travel to the fitting sessions were worth it and thank you Team Titleist for another great year.
