I think you'll need to be a little more specific with your requirements on shaft. I'm assuming you want steel rather than graphite, but even with steel there will be a big difference in weight/bend profile/performance from shaft to shaft.

For example, Nippon NS Pro 950 in stiff have a nominal weight of 97g but a Modus3 Tour 130 is approx 124g. The playing characteristics of each shaft are rather different as well as there being a big weight jump. Just an example to illustrate the fact that there is a big difference even within the same company.

If you want a decent 2nd hand set, be specific and check Golfbidder for a steer on pricing.

I will be selling my 716 AP2s in about 2 weeks. They are S300 AMT shafts with standard loft and lie. I hope to get about £200 for them as they are in average condition so I would say for a good set you would be looking at £300.

To be fair I think Titleist irons tend to hold their value much better than the competitors. I think this is down to the quality of the product and new models being released every 2 years.

I know eBay has cheap sets. I you never know if there genuine or not.

Worth the gamble if you don't won't to pay over the odds.

To give you some idea of price, I bought a set of AP2 714 (5-PW) with Project X 6.5 Shafts on for £175 from American Golf.

They were a bit too stiff for me so I ended up taking them back.

I have some 714 AP2s with dynamic gold r300s in really good condition. I am trying to find some slightly newer ap2s but in the 110 gram kbs tour v shafts or a shaft very similiar,lightweight but low launch. Its like finding a needle in a haystack to be honest. Been looking for a while now but no luck.
