Long time lurker, first time poster...
Went for a fairway fitting 2 weeks ago to fill a gap between my hybrid and driver and got fitted into a 15 deg 3 wood with even flow white shaft. I've never been a fairway wood guy and always struggled to get on with them. But this thing is different. I'm still getting used to it being a fairway wood, but when I catch it right, man does it feel good and fly well!
I like it so much that I went back for a fitting today with the drivers and ended up with an 8.5 deg TS3 with the same even flow shaft, they even had a brand new one in stock in the right setup so i could take it there and then! My previous driver was 'fit' (If you can call it that) by one of the big retailers. On the launch monitor today I was getting 3500rpm spin, 40 yards peak height and about 235 carry, 249 total with my driver.
Hitting the TS3 I was getting the spin around 2000rpm, peak height around 33 yards with 255 carry running out with some to 275. The flight was much more penetrating and powerful.
Safe to say I'm looking forward to playing with it tomorrow!!!
