  1. Hey,

I'm getting back into the game after a 20 year break (I'm in my early thirties now)! My handicap back then was around 13. I still have my junior clubs that I'm using but obviously I'm looking for a more suitable set of irons. Before getting a brand new set and getting custom fitted I'm probably going to get some second hand before fully committing.

Currently at the moment I can strike the ball at the range relatively consistently, however I am massively struggling for distance, I'm hitting a 6 iron 130 yards tops. Is the fact that I'm using junior clubs as an adult compiling my lack of distance?

I really fancy some blade clubs tailored towards getting a few yards extra? Possibly a lower loft set? Could someone guide me in the right direction? I'm currently looking at Titleist 695MB blades (I feel like blades will improve my game in the long term. I understand that they are harder to hit)

    Appreciate your time. Cheers!

The ap1 irons and ap2 irons wouldn’t be a bad idea , neither are blades , but both very good irons in their own ways and would definitely help build your confidence and more forgiving and easier to hit than blades
  3. There's really only one way to go here, sign up to a Tittleist Thursday near you and get some real expert fitting. You will save so much time and end up with the corrct set up if you explain everything - I've been on a few of these (thanks Chris!!) and thoroughly reccommend them- plus they are free and no obligation, good luck.
  4. Get fitted - the T100s or T200 will certainly help with distance

Have to agree with the above. Stay away from blades. Ap1’s or 2’s second hand would be a good starting point. You also need to look into length, shaft flex, and grip size.

A Titleist Thursday would be a good starting point, also speak to your local Pro.

    Michael,

If you haven't already join the Team Titleist Facebook page as there are often clubs being offered for sale on there and you can ask if anyone selling.

You might just get a bargain.
