I think you might have over booked yourself....2 1/2 hours is a long time to be hitting balls. It might be worth seeing if you can get a break between some of those as the last thing you want at a fitting is to be tired and not hitting your best as that could lead to a poor club choice. Are you not getting wedges !!!

Of my fittings:

In 1 hour we did driver, 1 fairway and hybrids - 917 and 818

A 1 hour at St Ives on TS driver we when through the Drivers and a TS FW fitting.

A 45 min hybrid fitting took 25 mins to find the right one - shots with current hybrid gap to my fairway and tried TS2 v TS3.. then a shaft.. Same for my second fairway.

I was going to say get there early and warm up but …. The fitter will make sure you're fitted correctly.

That sounds like a long time to be hitting balls effectively to me, I had one session (45min) just for driver at the Celtic Manor last year and was knackered toward the end of that one session although almost 60 next year so probably not as fit as yourself, how would you fair at the range for that time hitting constantly, the last hour may not be as productive in giving accurate results, you maybe better off staggering some of the sessions so you are at your best for each different set of clubs, good luck and hope you find something to suit your game

Hi both, I’ve been told by my coach that I’m a ball hitting machine and just love hitting golf balls. The clubs will prob get tired before I will haha. I will prob buy them a coffee and take 10-15 mins in the middle as a break. So an hour for driver, fairway and hybrids would be ideal and then rest on new irons probably. As for the wedges I already have SM6 54 and 58 and SM7 50, so that doesn’t need looking at.

Vokey wedges.
New Evnroll 2.2 putter which just bought.

I’m only 43 and spent the last 7 months on a good fitness regime and it has made a huge difference to hitting balls and playing golf. I usually hit around 150 balls at the range most times I go and only leave as haven’t got more time to stay there. Will keep you posted on here and let you know what i get. Who knows might buy on the day or at my local club. Do you know if they offer good deals on the day? Do they check your grip so too as want to try a thicker grip?

On all my fittings they only had standard grips. I've played mid-size grips for some time, glove size XL, and it's annoying but you can imagine it would be difficult to have every shaft in every grip size, and blowing grips on and off would be time consuming at a 45min fitting.

Check with the fitter who can advise on your specific requirement.

Looks like you're fit enough to last the 3 sessions, 50 balls max on a great day if I go to the range.

Check with Celtic Manor as they will know what deals are available, if any.

Best thing I have ever done, as Simon said swing the club and let the Titleist staff do the rest, prepare to be dazzled

I got fitted for SM7 wedges last year, it changed my short game. My gaping is more consistent and I seem to be able to select the club for the shot much easier.

Sadly it all got cancelled, really gutted about it as was looking forward to it. Can’t buy clubs now anyway as I have to watch my money. But there are more important things in life at the moment, so will wait until late in the year.

That's disappointing.
Looking on the bright side, it's something to look forward to...
You never know, there may be new Titleist product available later in the year.

I know let’s hope Titleist bring out some new products at end of year or even next year. Plus side is that my wife feels sorry for me and has given me a bigger budget when it all settles down.
