  1. Just a picture to sum up golf in Wales and prob most of the UK. A winter of rain and flooding and soon as lockdown hits not a cloud in the sky haha.

  2. Just going through some posts. And came across this, it’s sums Wales up for sure. Hoping to be able to play in May and hopefully the weather will be kind.

    Practiced much in lockdown?
  3. I know the weather has been bad all winter and soon as lockdown hits, it’s sunny. I’ve only been putting indoors and few swings in garden to keep active. You? I think clubs will open in next few weeks.
  4. Only been to the local field, for a few chips. Hit a 7 iron but nothing stronger.

Club has been sending pictures of the work they have done so fingers crossed it won’t be much longer. Hopefully have a decent summer then.

Most likely only friendly’s but at least we’re playing.

I can’t remember a beautiful April like it........and we’re stuck in the house.
Guaranteed when lockdown lifts it’s just going to rain and rain..........I don’t normally play in rain but from now on in I’m an all weather golfer bring on yer worst Mother Nature I’ll be ready for ya............
  6. I hate playing in the rain but sometimes when I do I play better because I don’t care what I score. I’ve booked loads of tee times online just Incase from a week Monday onwards haha. I was booked in for a Titleist Thursday full bag fitting and it was cancelled 2 days before, I was gutted and been waiting for it all to open back up to spend a fortune.
  7. Richard,
Know what you mean - as we're only ten minutes away from Wales, we pretty much suffer their weather....

  8. As mainly a weekend player, since lockdown has hit, every weekend has been stunning and again this morning I wake up and another sunny day. I pray for rain so I’m not gutted.

ha ha this is true for scotland too, weathers been incredible for weeks, the day the lockdown is lifting the skys will open and unleash hell upon us lol
  10. After what seemed like 6 months of rain over the winter here on the South Coast, the weather for lockdown has been brilliant. I now imagine the summer will be the worst on record, just to complete this appalling year
  11. I bet the course are in stunning condition, but as soon as lockdown ends they will be under water and muddy. I think this year is a write off anyway.
  12. In Scotland it’s exactly the same. The normally unreliable weather has been replaced by beautiful sunny skies and we cannot play. It’s so unfair...
