    How are we all doing?

I've had a bit of a break from the forum but now returning since golf has returned.

It's been surprising for me so far with 4 or 5 rounds played, the highlight so far being a 78 round Castle Stuart.

How has it been for you guys?

Couple of terrible rounds, and few average for me anyway and a couple of under par gross, missed a putt on 18 for my first 69
Having a week off now, as it’s raining and my brolley broke on my last round.

    Welcome back Ricky

Hell yes, it’s good to be back golfing again.
Driver is on fire but my short game has left the building lol
Guess I’ll be out practicing loads this summer ️‍♂️

Had 5 games so far and it’s been a mixed bag, drivers still misbehaving though.
  6. Have had six rounds - and I'm out tomorrow morning - and to be fair, it's been pretty good and I've enjoyed myself more than I have for ages.
I haven't had the driver out yet!! - Been using the U500 3 iron off the tee - it goes like a rocket and finds the fairways... Fine on short to medium par 4's where I can get on with an iron but it's more of a struggle on long par 4's and some par 5's. Still, that's why you get shots on your handicap.
Have started to get the hang of putting again - funny how that's the first thing to fall apart.
Couple of memorable birdies and some nice pars have helped the confidence. I might even enter some comps, though I have to say, I've never been a big fan of enormous Medal stroke play events off the back tips.

  8. Tosh,
I know you're right... Lost me bottle, as they say!!
Our big practice ground is re-opening next week so I'll go and sort myself out.

I've also found some form with the driver which is the most surprising thing so far as that used to be my downfall!

Ball striking needs improved in the long irons but just glad to be out there. Going to book some practice time and go from there I think!

Great to see so many of you back out there and playing!
I’ve returned to the Forums after a break, because I’m NOT playing. I’m Immunosuppressed so in the highest risk category and am therefore shielding, so I’ve got plenty of time on my hands.
Things haven’t been too bad as my son has been staying with me, but he’s moving out as he’s back to work on Monday.
He’s PGA, so has taken a big hit on income. He’s been getting furlough pay for his shop hours (not a lot) and got the self-employed grant, but without being able to teach, it’s been tough for him.
On the plus side, he’s played a few times with members and is already getting lesson requests. So, if your game is rusty after the break, support your club Pros and book in a lesson or two!
  11. Got my first round back from 2 years out the game on saturday. Got down to 5 before i stopped and cant wait to get back out there!!
