  1. Having not played for a few years, went to the driving range this afternoon to see if my back would 'hold up', only hit a few balls and scuffed a lot more but instantly booked a round of golf, initially solo just to see how I got on with a real round on the course, within 30 minutes and over a pint I have three mates playing so a four ball has been booked on Sunday next week, the first proper round for many years, really looking forward to it, and going to be back here for chat and advice. Just checked my bag for balls, glove, tees etc and found a unopened drink that is over 15 months out of date, so that's how long it has been.

    Onwards and upwards...

  2. AH,
Welcome back to the fold - This could go either way; either your back gives out or you're hooked again.
    Enjoy yourself.

    Good luck with the game.
I’ve been in a similar position due to arthritis and ventured back on the course yesterday, for the first time since last September.
I didn’t have any expectations and whilst it was nice to be out again, unfortunately, it’s looking like I’ll not be able to play again as it’s just too painful. I’m properly paying for the attempt today.
