Got my handicap down from 21 to 15.4 with my Ap100 Irons and looking to try and improve. Has anyone bough and using the new CP-04 Iron. Looking for a fitting day close to the North East England but cannot find one that is not full or now it has been closed for Covid19. I would appreciate your thoughts on these as they are expensive but I believe you've got to look into technology as well as plenty practice and lessons to improve. Because of my improvement my WHS is now 13.4 and playing off the yellows at my club now at 12 and whites at 14. Big jump from 21 to 15.6 to this, but exciting.

Dave congratulations on getting your handicap down. I agree you need plenty of practice and a few lessons but you've certainly got to get fit for the right clubs. I've heard great things about the CP irons but have never tried them and at £500 per iron/£4000 for a set will only be aimed at a select few.

If you've got your heart set on them then go for it but it's also worth looking at the new T series of irons as they're great clubs and have a model to suit just about everyone. Can't help you with a recommendation on fitting in your area I'm afraid, I live in the South but I'm sure some fellow TT'ers (if that's a word) will be able to help. If not start by looking at the 'fitting' section and then let us know how you get on.

Agreed I need fitting but I can not get a place booked in to get a fitting. When I got fitted for the AP100's it was at Turnberry with TT in 2018, if they were doing one this year that was when I was going to get a look and feel for them.

The CP04 are such a good looking club and I would only be looking at 4 Irons as I use hybrids as well and Vokey SM7 wedges.

I think to get a proper feel for Concept 04 irons you would need to book a visit to a National fitting centre - would be worth it if you are thinking about spending that amount on irons. I currently play T100s and having seen (but not hit) the concept 04 irons I would say they do have a lot more offset which is not something I like looking at. Great job on getting the handicap down !!
