My golfing goal for 2021 is to be able to gain the confidence to play a round of golf without worrying about anyone judging me

Break into the 80s been so close in recent months only restarted last year and have gone from 110s to high 90s not consistent at low 90s now iv changed up my bag so deffo can be a 80s player if I stop the silly holes

Like others have said, just really keen to get out playing again. However, things I'd really like to work on and improve:
    1. Putting - namely putts inside 5 foot - a lot of this is mental for me but I really want to convert every chance I get within that sort of distance.
    2. Iron play - this has really dropped off for me in the last couple of years, unfortunately seemed to coincide with when I changed from 714 - 718 AP2's but I think that's coincidence more than anything else!

If I manage to do those 2 things then I'm hoping that converts into a trophy win and handicap reduction. I became a parent in May 2019 and as much as I love my daughter, my golf has really deteriorated! I used to practice a little but this was mostly by playing 9 holes by myself, never been a range rat or anything. So hoping a little more time on the course will help me get back to where I was.

Either way, I'll enjoy the challenge and I cannot wait to reignite the golf and social sparks that we've all been missing for too long now. Watching the European Tour in the Middle East and the PGA Tour in Hawaii have certainly helped things a little!

My golfing goals are to play more and to cut my handicap!
I currently play on a municipal course but will be moving to be a full member of a different course this year.
I had a good run of form in the summer and manage to cut my handicap to 17.5 but I then broke my ankle and the WHS handicaps came out and I went back up to 19.5.
I’m hoping a new course with practice facilities and more regular golf will get my handicap down to my goal of 16 by the end of this year

Oh and on top of that, I am hoping to actually get the TT Scotland event organised but the pandemic is making that look like it may be on the back burner again

As others have already said, I'm just hoping to get a chance to play!!!
  7. Personal goal is to play below 80 consistently, play some new courses but most of all enjoy being outdoors and enjoy every opportunity to play golf
  8. Lockdown to stop so I can get out there. Bad golf is better than no golf

Main aim is to get handicap down from 6, aiming for 5 in reality but would hope to finish the season on 4.

The next goal is to be able to take the flag out at some point.

get out and play more when course reopens ( accepting we're likely to have restrictions on weekly bookings at least to restart with)

Get swing improved, whilst enjoying practising and playing.... aim to then look at iron and wedge fitting and treat myself!

Not put any foolish dinks in my new 620mb/cb combo set!
  12. I simply want to play more golf, any golf will do at this stage.

I’d like to enjoy it more, not that I don’t but not to be so hooked on score.

I’d like to get down from 7 to 4 or 5 index but won’t get too hooked up on it.

My 6 year old is joining as a junior so going to play with him quite a lot.

Also I’m not going to spend hours on the range hitting crappy range balls. Better off I think hitting 2 drives/approaches with premium balls and a bit of short game practice around a few greens.

Not much but if we don’t get out here in Ireland soon I’ll go mad.

I’m aiming to get back down to 2, I have been stuck on 3 for way too long and it’s time to start pushing that down again.

On top of that, not to have any worries about entering competitions. Too often worry about playing well going into them and end up not bothering which I know is completely stupid.

My goal is simply to get out and play again. Next week will mark a year of shielding, most of which I’ve spent indoors. I’ve nowhere to practice so my swing will be awful, I’ll be unfit and stiff. But I can’t wait, especially to play and get back to spending some quality time with my son. It will also be great to see him back at work - as a PGA pro, he’s found it extra tough being away from the job he loves...

To just get out playing again and be no worse than when we stopped - pretty much 18 months ago for me! Also to maintain the lowered WHS handicap I have. Mostly to just enjoy playing this wonderful game again.

My goal, after returning to the sport from a 10 year break was to hit single figure handicap before I'm 30. however im now 28 and off 9.3. I guess the next goal is below 5 - I don't think I'll ever get much less than that as I don't have the time to dedicate to practicing properly - too many hobbies too little time

My goal is to break 80 for the first time in 20 years. I’ve only shot 79 twice and none since I returned to regular golf. I got close a couple of times last year but muffed it.

Also since I’ve started playing regularly I’ve committed to playing at least one round a year on a world class course. In 2019 I played the Brabazon at the Belfrey and last year I took a trip to St Andrews where I played the Old, New, Jubilee and Eden courses. I’ve no idea where I’ll play this year but I plan to keep the tradition.

Breaking 100 consistently / get a handicap in the mid-low 20s. Been wanted to play the Brabazon / PGA national at the Belfry but read somewhere you need to be under 24 hcp... so a good target to aim for! I can recommend St George’s hill and Walton Heath... played both on corporate days and thought they were excellent!
  19. My aim is to try and break 80 as well this year. Never done it before but had an 81 last week with a putt on 18 for a level par back 9 (missed it...), so think it’s doable if I can keep it going. First child is on the way though, so think I’ll need to achieve it before then.

Probably being able to play between 85 and 90 shots ... and lost less balls
