How To Change or Cancel Custom Order

  1. Hi All,

    I just placed an order with Scottsdale Golf via website for 2 more SM8 Jet Black custom fit wedges. I clicked on the Jet Black page and went through the order detail and paid and when I got the confirmation email through it showed they were Tour Chrome finish not Jet Black.

    I did check the order before submitting but I'd clicked on Jet Black so I was focused more on the lie / loft / grind etc.

    I've emailed Scottsdale within 10 mins of the confirmation email as they do not have a phone service running due to Covid but no response. The emails are all saying that once an order is placed it cannot be changed, added to or cancelled.

    I've also reached out to Titleist customer services to get a view, but I'm concerned as I didn't order or want Tour Chrome as my set is all black (Black AP2's / 2 x Jet Black SM8's) and I really don't want to be stuck with these. I cannot see how an order cannot be changed or cancelled within 10 mins of placing.

    I am pretty sure Titleist are closed at the weekend so the order will not be on the system until Monday. Also with the delays on clubs at the moment, I really cannot see it being made first thing Monday morning.

    I still want the clubs, just with a Jet Black finish not Tour Chrome.

    Has anyone got any experience or advice on how to get this order changed / cancelled ???

    You can cancel anything within 7 days of ordering that’s your rights but I’d expect to have some contact from Scottsdale tomorrow or in the next couple of days to change or discuss the order things aren’t normal at the moment so fingers crossed it get sorted Luke normally sees things like this and helps.
  3. Thanks Tim for response, I thought the normal consumers rules would apply as well, but seems there are some grey areas when it comes to custom orders in general. It was the 2 emails saying *** Custom Orders Cannot Be Cancelled or Amended *** which really worried me.

    Fair play to Scottsdale, they got in touch on the Sunday, followed up with Titleist and today I got the wonderful email confirming that Titleist had cancelled the original order and replaced with a new order - this time with Jet Black head finish.

    Project X shafts are out of stock at the moment so extra delay but I couldn't care less :o))

    Excellent service from both Scottsdale and Titleist as normal !!
