I purchased in December new TSi3 Driver (custom order) with Premium shaft Graphite Design AD XC 5 Stiff. When I compared distance with my old Driver TS3 with PX Hzrdus Smoke 6.0 shaft I noticed that the distance with the new driver is 10-15 yards shorter. Also I feel that the new driver is significantly heavier tenth old one. But according to Titleist specs it should be even lighter because the new shaft supposed to have 56 grams and the old shaft 60 grams so 4 grams lighter. Then I did the weighting with a very precise scales and notified that he new driver is 11 grams heavier than the old one. I have to tell that the lenght of both shafts are the same - standard with the same grip. I also put the old shaft on my new TSi3 driver and it was only one gram heavier then TS3 with the same shaft. So the new head is 1 gram heavier. No problem with this.
So my biggest concern is how is this possible that this premium shaft is so much heavier. So 11 grams +4 (the difference between Smoke and XC shaft) - 1(new head heavier) = 14 grams is new shaft heavier than it should be!!!
I went also to my pro and he was the same opinion - this shaft is according to Titleist specs too heavy.
Anyone has the same problem?
