So, two weeks ago today I had an iron fitting at St Ives. Time well spent with Paul and worked out pretty quickly that I had gotten stronger since my last fitting 4 years ago and would need X100 shafts in my irons. The very next day we placed the order and on Saturday I got a text saying my clubs were in.

I would have to wait though as I was away for my wife’s birthday. So off I go today to pick them up, got to the shop and there was the box and like a kid at Christmas, quickly opened it up. Right irons, right shafts and oh no, the wrong grips. We checked the order and yes they were wrong. Titleists customer service were very good and they are sending out the grips asap so O guess it will be another few days before I can really tell what they are like.

Still on the plus side at least it wasn't after a couple of months wait like some others I know.

Probably the best thing to go wrong, the heads never shafts were right. My experience of the customer service has always been excellent. Enjoy your new clubs.
