On yet another steaming day in Cornwall (UK) I was feeling proud of myself having made a two early in the round. So I was in the money when my regular foursome arrived at Porthpeans fifteenth hole. The hole is a challenge to senior high handicappers, it is over a 150 yard major depression and slightly up hill with a solid tree line on the left-hand side. two of the previous players were on the green (we stick the the same playing order and I always go last)
Taking my 19 degree H2 I launched my ball into a breeze and watched as it tumbled down the hill side beyond the green without coming into view and predicted that my number eight Pro v was in the hole. With a prediction better than Nostradamous there was my ball nestling in the bottom of the hole. I don't think the money for my two will cover the bar bill!
