Played the Addington with a society- first time back since they have taken out lots of trees.
Definitely brings a different feel to the course and the general feedback from our society members was that they actually preferred it being tighter with the trees - a key thing being the trees kept the wind down. I am keeping an open mind as I know they are only two years in to a six year plan so much of the “scarring” etc will disappear. They were also very proud of the c. 1000 sprinkler heads put in with the fairway watering system. Good to see a course getting investment.
As ever, the course does provide a great view of the Shard, the City and Canary Wharf.
