    Hi Will,

For me my highlight was getting myself back into golf after a few years off and upgrading my 10 year old bag with new Titleist gear.

For 2023 I’ve set myself a few goals:

    1. Play 50 rounds of golf
    2. Break 80
    3. Get handicap down to 8 or less
    4. Play 1 bucket list course with TT
    5. Get a hole in one
    6. Play a round with less than 30 putts
    7. Increase driver swing speed to 110mph+

Let’s see how many I can tick off!

2023..... Retirement, new house in the Scottish Highlands resulting in joining a new golf club, which we have not actually played yet, looking forward to playing again after 18 months away due to our house move (its a long story), reacquainting myself with the new AP1 irons, TS woods and SM7 wedges with my new "A" flex shafts as recommended after my Titleist Thursday fitting prior to UK Covid lockdown, I have only used the clubs about half a dozen times.

So not much to look forward to .........

    Hello Will

TT at Gleneagles is up there as a golfing highlight for 2022. Adding the new TSR2 driver to the bag was an equipment highlight. It’s a fairway finder.

Hoping 2023 bring more steady golf and looking forward to adding the new utility to the bag.

Hopefully manage to get to a Team Titleist gathering too.

Keep up the good work .

  5. Hi Will

What really stood out for me in 2022 was how welcoming you all at TT were. Was lucky enough to participate in a couple of team events from the photo shoot at the London club to the round at the Belfry.
Then there was the advanced fitting for the Tsi driver at Woburn.
On top of that got qualified in TPI body analysis.
All in all it was a wonderful year and hope to be included in much much more in the future.

    Many thanks again!

    Hi Will,

Nice to see you so active on the forums, keep up the good work. Happy holidays and happy new year.
Is Luke Ryan with retirement? I use to have contact with Luke when entering TT events as I am from the Netherlands. I hope to join this year as I am from the Netherlands. (it's hard getting in outside UK).

During the COVID-19 period I was enjoying retirement (caddie life on tour since 2003), I lost my dad in 2018 due to cancer. Not knowing and saying goodbye in less then 2 weeks I put my clubs in the garage. Emotionally it was too hard as I been all over the world with my dad, by entering any golf course I felt mixed emotions.

Then during COVID-19 period, my wife & I did a car tour through Scotland. We drove from the north down to the south of the UK. Passing Arbroath, St. Andrews, Carnoustie and all the great places. My wife wanted to stop at St. Andrews for me just to pick up some memories when I was caddying up there... but I didn't want it... in the end we did. I was standing at the 1st tee box. Watching the people tee-off who been there since 04:00AM in the morning.
Someone in old dress suit walked up towards me and asked: THE FLYING DUTCHMAN? I turned around and looked at him. He was the starter on the 1st tee. He recognized me from the tour only times. He mentioned, you were one of the few caddies who said: Goodmorning, thanks for the start. Sir. He asked if I was willing to play?
I kindly refused the offer as I didn't had any clubs with me. But before I knew my wife was in my neck and asked YES DO IT. .. 30 minutes later I was teeing off the old course. So many great memories there. With club rental clubs I was playing the golf of my life like someone from above was watching me. As we drove down I visited Royal St. George's (more about it I write later). And when I was home I picked up my clubs again and started to play daily base again. Then Sahlstrom (Challenge Tour) player contacted me if I was willing to help him out on tour. And so I did... sharing my experience & knowledge with over 20+ years to a newbie on tour was awesome too see him grow and play well. Then in 2022 there was another surprise... my wife was pregnant.

So 2022... I got married in the summer and few weeks later baby girl Nikki was born. She is almost 3 months by now. Growing so fast. I got myself new SM9 wedges and a tour only Newport. I just ordered new travel gear (which is getting in by now at St. Ives, through Golfsupport).

The plan for 2023... more caddie life experience and weekly play when I am on tour. I will pick up the "inside" " on tour" topics and will share that with you here on the forums. I can't wait to be back on the course again and play as often as I can. I wish you all the best and if any TT members here are in need of tickets during an event on tour please send me a DM to get you sorted.

  7. What has stood out to me is how good Titleist equipment is, having had the last 3 generations of PXG. Now playing TSR woods, Tsi hybrid, T200 irons and SM9 wedges I am convinced. Only shame is that I could not get on with the Scotty phantom x 7.5 I bought. Couldn’t get any reliable distance control unfortunately. Hoping to snare a place at a Titleist event this year if I’m lucky enough

Happy New Year to all of you.

Lots of highlights for last year, and finally managed to get name on the wall in the clubhouse.

As for 2023, I made the choice that i am happy with my swing, happy with my set up and 2023 is all about the metal approach.

So far so good. First two rounds have been a 75 and 76.

Only other wish would be to get my first hole in one. Clipped the flagstick twice this year so getting closer. lol

Wishing you all straight tee shots and fairway approaches for 2023.

  9. Hi Will

2022 was, as always, a good year...new courses played, lots of new Titleist and Footjoy gear, playing with good companions ( with the exception of some dodgy handicaps ) and most importantly good health!!!
2023 brings more of the same I hope and getting the index back to below nine is the goal.
Throw in a trip to St Andrews with my New TSR3 Driver and my new Tour Stadry cart bag plus new shoes seems like a special trip to look forward to.
We missed Gleneagles and The Belfry through work commitments but nothing will get in the way of a trip to the home of Golf
Good Luck and Best Wishes to Team Titleist for 2023!!!

Many thanks Will. In 2022 was not a great golfing year, I know what I need to do to improve and will be working on that in 2023. It was a quiet year equipment wise but looking forward to the new Pro v1 in the spring. I did miss the 4 for offer in the spring, I am hoping you re-introduce that for 2023. I was most looking forward to the Team Titleist event, unfortunately I will not be able to attend due to a family holiday, I did ask if we could move the holiday but alas, this was not possible and did not go down too well.
