  1. who has managed to get out this year .

I managed my first round yesterday as a guest at the Royal Household Golf Club at Windsor Castle - a tad damp in places with worm casts on the greens. It is always a pleasure to play at such an amazing venue, especially when you are the only two players on the course!

Today was a gorgeous day at my home club Walton Heath - went out early with plenty of dew on the course but it has held up very well to all the rain. Whilst the greens were a tad slower today, somehow I managed 7 one putts from c. 8 feet + - shame there were some occasional very poor shots that needed one putts to rescue the par or bogie!

First comp of the year is a stableford on Saturday.

    Happy golfing for 2023.

Unfortunately not yet buddy, my home course Tulliallan has been closed the past two weeks now due to ice, snow and now additional water hazards
The weather has not been kind this winter.
I have however made a couple of visits to the simulator room to try and keep the swing going. ïļâ€â™‚ïļ

    Good evening.

Not had the chance but have 2 rounds booked next week. Between now and then I’ll be nipping to the range to hit a few balls.

Ps I saw your post regarding hosting me at Walton Heath and replied but not to sure if you saw the post.

Feel free to reach out, I would love to come join you for 18 holes.

    Regards

    Simon
  4. Simon, I didn’t see any prior reply.

Andrewjpring@gmail.com and we can sort out a round at Walton.

    Morning Andrew.

I will drop you a email later today and thank you.

    Kind regards

  6. Unfortunately the weather up here in Scotland over the last two/three weeks has been a little bit on the cold side (-9/-10C) with several dumps of the white stuff and left the courses unplayable for the time being! Really frustrating, as I’ve just taken early retirement and now have all the time in the world to play golf!!! Sod’s law! Roll on Spring. ïļâ€â™‚ïļ

    Hi,
Last round was 29th Dec, shot level par in a knock out and lost on the last, having been 4 down. TSR3 was a rocket launcher!!
Note to self for 2023, must try harder, think my teacher knew me very well!! Saturday is first game at home Longcliffe Golf Club
  8. Hi,

Somehow I've managed to play twice this year and the courses have not been as wet as I thought they would be- won't be playing for a few weeks now due to work etc.

I played Walton Heath last year. Very nice course, not played the household club before- lots of nice courses around that General area.

Ive managed a few rounds so far this year, been very cold in the borth east of scotland but enjoyable none the less

Some good scores of +1 and +3 so fingers crossed thats the trend for the season ahead and i can lower my handicap from 4

Unfortunately not as yet, I did venture onto the course but the conditions weren't good so we had breakfast instead and then off to the driving range

Hopefully, if the conditions improve I will be playing over the weekend and next week

First outing due this Saturday, work and weather have stopped play for the last few weeks to we'll see how the swing thoughts are then! Was up at Aucterarder early December but the misty conditions meant I didn't dare chance a premium round at Gleneagles! It looks such a lovely course though I think I'll have to head back up. Wishing all TTers a great year's golf.
  12. Managed to get out on Tuesday this week... 17 temps + one closed hole - waterproof trousers obligatory.
On the plus side, the weather forecast was wrong and the promised rain didn't materialise. The golf was, unsurprisingly, somewhat patchy and it was soggy underfoot but being a golfer, I somehow managed to enjoy myself. The company was joyous and the toasted tea cakes were lovely.
