I'm toying with the idea of swapping out my hybrid for a 7 wood and wanted to see if anyone has done the same.

I've got a gap between my 4 iron and 4 wood and the hybrid has suddenly stopped working for me, and clearly it's the arrow not the Indian.

I've tried both on the range and distance wise they're about the same but as we all know, on the course it's completely different.

    Kirkcaldy,

I swapped out an old 915 hybrid i think it was for my tsi2 7 wood and love it. Hit both bout the same distance but find the 7 wood so much easier to hit and more forgiving. Also flies so much higher which makes it easy to hold greens i find. Also use it off the tee at some tight or tricky holes at my home course

    Thanks Colin, appreciate your thoughts.
  4. Hi Martin,

I had a gap at the top of the bag which was filled with the TSI 7 wood thanks to Graeme at Craigielaw. It was something I would not have through of and would have put the matching 4 hybrid in the bag.

The 7 wood was giving me better results during the fitting and stopping quicker due the extra height. You asked if those results have transferred on to the course? There’s only a few courses in my local area where it will get used for a 2nd shot into the green. But off the tee it gives me that extra option and extra distance on my 5 hybrid.

A lot of pros switch back and forth depending on the course they play each week. So, why not us too? You could switch back between the extra fairway and the hybrid depending on where you play, the weather conditions, or just how you have been hitting them lately.
