  1. Just ordered an SM 10 54-08M to try against my JAWS MD5 54-12W. I have found in the drier conditions the wide sole on the MD5 can be a bit sticky/grabby on the ground and combined with the higher bounce on a tight lie, the leading edge sits a bit high when you open it up to get creative around the green and it doesn't inspire confidence. I used to play vokey's before I got fitted and ended up with the JAWS, so I'm keen to see how they compare and how they feel based on memories of old vokey's. Will keep you updated.

Always best to get fitted for wedges, hitting off grass and in the conditions you typically play. It's ideal to test the various available grinds side by side to narrow down what works best for you. An improperly wedge can actually work against you.
  3. I was fitted for the JAWS wide sole as my home course used to be wetter and softer where there was alot of watering so they worked really well. The greenskeepers are drying out the course with less watering and the greens complexes have changed in the last year, back to the old run off areas and tight lies are an issue with wide sole high bounce wedges.
I have got the vokey with the same shaft I was fitted for and its a very similar nounce and grind to what I used to play. Ideally I will have a set of low bounce vokeys and high bounce JAWS so I can select wedges based on conditions.

The right tool for the right job works best. Between the 25 loft/grind options of a Vokey, all are offered LH, so getting fit outdoors I have the best chance of getting the right loft and grind for my game.

Having the option of 8/10/12/14 on the 54 degree is one the best things about the Vokey line, and others offer many setups as well. Even with a good fitter it takes time, for sure. There is a pretty good gap between the 8 and 12. Good luck!
