Another European Tour Win for Levy in China

It was an all-Titleist sudden death playoff at the Volvo China Open where Titleist golf ball loyalist Alexander Levy (Pro V1x) topped Dylan Frittelli (Pro V1) with a birdie on the first extra hole.

“This means a lot because it was the first tournament I won on the European Tour,” Levy said. “It’s an amazing feeling to be back in the winner’s circle.”

Levy, who also won this event in 2014 for his first career European Tour victory, became the first player to win this event twice.

The Frenchman started the final round seven shots behind overnight leader and birdied the final hole of regulation to close with a 5-under-par 67 and set the clubhouse lead at 17-under 271.

He converted a 15-foot putt for birdie and the win on the first extra hole.

This marks the fourth career European Tour title for Levy who also earned his last victory (2016 Porsche European Open) via a playoff

Alex Levy topped a leaderboard that included four of the first five finishers relying upon Titleist golf balls for their success, including last week’s champion and Titleist Brand Ambassador Bernd Wiesberger (Pro V1) and Titleist golf ball loyalist Chris Wood (Pro V1x) who tied for fourth place, two shots out of the playoff.

Congratulations, Alex!

TITLEIST BY THE NUMBERS

Titleist was the overwhelming golf ball choice at the Volvo China Open with 118 players trusting a Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball for their success. That’s more than eight times the nearest competitor with 14 and more than all competitors combined.

Titleist was also the top choice in iron sets with 54, nearly twice the nearest competitor (29).

The win was the 10th for Titleist players through the first 15 events on the European Tour, five times the nearest competitor with 2.
