Fitzpatrick Wins in Dubai

At the final event of the season on the European Tour, it all came down to the last hole for Titleist golf ball loyalist Matthew Fitzpatrick (Pro V1x).

Having reached the 18th green in a tie for the top spot on the leaderboard, Fitzpatrick lined up his birdie putt, drew his putter blade back and rolled in a four-footer to capture the season-ending DP World Tour Championship title by one shot.

The birdie putt capped off a performance that featured four rounds in the 60s (69 – 69 – 66 – 67) and a 17-under-par 271 victory total. This was the second win of the season for Fitzpatrick (he also won the Nordea Masters earlier in the year) and at 22 years and 80 days old, he becomes the youngest winner of the DP World Tour Championship.

Congratulations, Matthew!
