Fowler Closes the Deal at the Honda Classic

Titleist golf ball loyalist Rickie Fowler (Pro V1) earned his fourth career PGA Tour title with a four-shot win at the Honda Classic.

Fowler finished with a 12-under-par 268 victory total, outdistancing two other players who also relied upon the Pro V1 for their success, including Titleist Brand Ambassador Morgan Hoffmann (Pro V1, 917D2 driver, 917F3 fairway metal, 716 T-MB 3-iron, 716 MB irons, Vokey Design SM6 pitching, sand and lob wedges, Scotty Cameron Detour putter), who secured his best-ever finish on the PGA Tour.

In fact, Fowler topped a leaderboard that included eight of the top 10 finishers who trusted a Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x.

Four of the six players who tied for 4th played a Titleist golf ball, including Titleist golf ball loyalists Chad Collins (Pro V1), Billy Horschel (New Pro V1x) and Tyrell Hatton (New Pro V1x).

Titleist Brand Ambassador Graham DeLaet (New Pro V1x, 917D3 driver, 915Fd fairway metal, CB/MB irons, Vokey Design SM6 pitching, sand and lob wedges, Scotty Cameron Newport putter) finished solo 10th.

Fowler entered the final round with the 54-hole lead (the fifth time in his PGA Tour career to do so). This week marks the first time Fowler has closed out a victory in that situation, a success that was not lost on him.

“It feels great to finally get out of that," Fowler said. "It wasn't easy. Luckily I made some good swings on the back nine and made those putts. To be in the position and going out and get the job done... this is a good one. I'm looking forward to going from here and obviously Augusta just around the corner.”

Congratulations, Rickie!
