Titleist is well-represented this week, with 91 players trusting their fortunes to a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball, more than all competitors combined.2/20
Earlier this week, Team Titleist joined some early risers at TPC Scottsdale, like Titleist Brand Ambassador Webb Simpson (New Pro V1).3/20
The man behind the veil is Titleist Brand Ambassador Zac Blair (Pro V1). We weren’t sure if he was trying to keep warm on the practice range or Zac always dresses in Bedouin fashion when he plays golf in the desert.4/20
A short walk down the range and we came upon Titleist Brand Ambassador Andrew Johnston (Pro V1x). Beef, who won the 2016 Open de España on the European Tour, is playing his first full season on the PGA Tour. He earned his 2016/2017 card after a strong finish at last year’s Web.com Tour Finals.5/20
Also rising with the sun in Scottsdale was Titleist Brand Ambassador Greg Chalmers (Pro V1x), one of the few southpaws on Tour. Greg broke through with his first PGA Tour win at last season’s Barracuda Championship in Reno.6/20

Next up we visited with Titleist Brand Ambassador Patton Kizzire (New Pro V1x). Patton, who won twice on the Web.com Tour is entering his sophomore season on the PGA Tour. In his rookie season, he had two runner-up finishes, at the 2015 Shriners Hospitals for Children Open and this past fall, at the Safeway Open.8/20
We also checked in with Titleist Brand Ambassador Bud Cauley (Pro V1x), who is showing great form after his T3 finish two weeks ago at the CareerBuilder Challenge.9/20
A short chip from Bud Cauley, we found Titleist Brand Ambassador Mark Hubbard (Pro V1), who is looking to build on the success he enjoyed last season. Mark had five top-25 finishes in 2015-2016 and he advanced to the FedExCup Playoffs for the first time in his career.10/20

No. 1 here at TPC Scottsdale is a tight, 403-yard par-4. Jordan set up a wedge approach with this well-placed tee shot with his 915F fairway metal.13/20

During the pro-am we caught up with one of our newest additions to the Titleist family…16/20
…Titleist Brand Ambassador Sean O’Hair. Sean, who will be trusting the New Pro V1 golf ball, 917D3 driver (10.5°), 915 fairway metals (15°, 18°), 716AP2 irons (4-PW), Vokey SM6 wedges (50°, 55°, 58°) and a Scotty Cameron Concept 2 Notchback putter, has won four times on the PGA Tour, most recently at the 2011 RBC Canadian Open.17/20

…the long hitting Jason Kokrak. This season Jason will be relying on the New Pro V1x golf ball, 917D2 driver (8.5°), 917F2 fairway metal (16.5°), 716T-MB 3-iron, 716CB (4-5) and 716MB (6-PW) irons, Vokey SM6 wedges (52°,56°,60°) and a Scotty Cameron prototype putter.19/20

The PGA Tour heads to its version of Spring Break this week, as some of the largest and loudest galleries of the year await players at the Waste Management Phoenix Open. The Stadium Course at TPC Scottsdale again plays host at this unique Tour stop, where the spectators create an electric atmosphere usually reserved for college basketball games.
Nowhere will the revelry be louder than on the 16th hole, a 162-yard par-3 framed on all sides by one of several man-made amphitheaters on the 7,216-yard, par-71 layout. It's the ultimate make or break proposition, where cheers and adulation (not to mention a great chance for birdie) follow a shot that finds the putting surface.
Players know to expect no mercy, however, if their tee shot should miss the green. The wrath of the crowd is also a part of the fun this week.
One player who passed the test with flying colors at No. 16, was Titleist Brand Ambasador John Peterson (Pro V1). Peterson, who was sidelined for nearly all of 2016 with a hand injury, birdied the par-3 on Thursday en route to a 5-under-par 66.
After the opening round he noted that he has entered the 2016/2017 season with renewed desire and focus.
"Yeah, when I got hurt last year. I missed all of last season. I had hand surgery right here, and I was watching these guys on the couch and it really made me miss it. I started missing it, and I said, you know, when I get back out there, I'm going to give it a go. I'm going to work like it's my job again. I'm putting in a lot more work. It's starting to pay off. Today is a small example, but hopefully throughout the rest of the year it will keep going.”

TITLEIST BY THE NUMBERS
A total of 91 players are trusting a Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball for their success at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, more than six times the nearest competitor with 15 and more than all competitors combined.
Titleist is also the top choice in the hybrids (24) and irons (40) categories. Vokey Design Wedges topped the approach, sand and lob wedge (153) category and Scotty Cameron putters were the top choice in the putter (57) category.
