Jason Kokrak Earns Second Victory of the PGA TOUR Season

PGA TOUR | Charles Schwab Challenge

Jason Kokrak earned his second victory of the PGA TOUR season, rolling his Titleist Pro V1 golf ball in for par from 4 feet on Colonial’s 18th green for a two-shot victory.

  • Kokrak, who earned his first-career TOUR title in October at the CJ CUP at Shadow Creek, led a 1-through-7 finish for Titleist golf ball players.
  • Kokrak, one of only three players to have multiple victories this season on TOUR, topped the field in total driving while ranking second in greens in regulation at 75% (54 of 72).
  • He opened the event with consecutive 65’s on Thursday-Friday
  • Jordan Spieth (NEW Pro V1x) ended the week in solo second, his sixth finish of T-4 or better since February.
  • Titleist was the #1 choice in every major equipment category – golf balldriver, fairway (T-1), hybridutility ironiron, wedge and putter .

LPGA | Bank of Hope LPGA Match Play

Playing a NEW Pro V1x golf ball, Ally Ewing emerged victorious in the 64-player match-play tournament to claim her second LPGA title.

  • Ewing won the all-Titleist golf ball final with a 2-and-1 victory over Sophia Popov (NEW Pro V1). In the semifinal, Ewing topped fellow NEW Pro V1x player Ariya Jutanugarn, as seven of the eight quarterfinalists teed up a Titleist golf ball.
  • Over the five days at Shadow Creek, Ewing played seven matches and 122 holes.
  • Her victory marks the 10th victory by a Titleist golf ball player in the first 11 events to start the LPGA season. 

AMATEUR | NCAA Women’s Championship

At the NCAA Women’s Championship, 97 percent (128 of 132 players) of the field played a Titleist golf ball, with all five members of the winning team trusting a NEW Pro V1 or NEW Pro V1x model.

  • The champions won four of the five matches at Grayhawk Golf Club to earn the first women’s national title in their school’s history.
  • Three members of the winning team also played Titleist driversfairwayshybrids and irons, while four played Vokey Design wedges.
  • The individual champion – a freshman who set a new NCAA scoring average record this season (69.72) – played a NEW Pro V1 golf ball, earning a one-shot victory while leading a 1-through-14 finish for Titleist golf ball players.
  • The NCAA Championship was her fifth victory in a row and sixth win in nine starts in 2021.
  • She won the Pac-12 Championship, NCAA regionals and NCAA Championship, shooting 15 of 25 rounds in the 60s and becoming only the third player in history to sweep through the postseason.
  • Titleist was also the top choice in wedges and putters (T-1).

AMATEUR | NCAA Men’s Championship

  • All five players on the top-seeded team entering Tuesday’s first round of match play are teeing up a Titleist golf ball, including the leader entering tomorrow’s final round of the individual championship. He plays NEW Pro V1x.

EUROPEAN TOUR | Made In Himmerland

Titleist Brand Ambassador Bernd Wiesberger – playing a Pro V1 golf ball, TSi3 driver and bag full of Titleist equipment – successfully defended his Made in HimmerLand title with a five-shot, wire-to-wire victory in Denmark.

  • Having started the final round with a one-shot lead, Wiesberger made eight birdies in a closing 7-under 64 to secure his fourth European Tour win since the start of the 2019 season.
  • Wiesberger is the first player to retain a title on the European Tour since 2019.

KORN FERRY TOUR | Evans Scholar Invitational

Titleist Brand Ambassador Cameron Young completed back-to-back, wire-to-wire wins on the Korn Ferry Tour with a runaway five-shot victory at The Glen Club.

  • Playing a NEW Pro V1 golf ball, TSi3 driver and NEW Scotty Cameron Phantom X 11 putter among his full bag of Titleist equipment, Young birdied his first three holes Sunday and never looked back, closing in 4-under 67, his eighth-consecutive round of 69 or better, to move to No. 13 in the KFT Points Standings.
  • He is now one victory from an automatic promotion to the PGA TOUR.
  • Young opened the event with a 64, just as he did a week earlier at the AdventHealth Championship.
  • He was a combined 37 under in the two wins, becoming the first player to win consecutive events on the KFT since 2013.
  • For the week, Young led the field in Driving Distance (308.9 yards), finished third in Greens in Regulations (79%) and T-3 in Scrambling (80%).
  • Young entered the 2020-21 Korn Ferry season without any status. In July, he Monday-qualified into the Pinnacle Bank Championship where he finished T-11.
  • Over the next three weeks, he posted finishes of T-14, T-6 and T-2 to earn Special Temporary Membership.
  • Only Young, his former Wake Forest teammate Will Zalatoris and Davis Riley have earned Special Temporary Membership over the past two seasons.

PGA TOUR CHAMPIONS | KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship

Alex Cejka, playing a NEW Pro V1x golf ball, won his second straight major championship with a four-shot victory at Southern Hills.

  • The Senior PGA Championship was Cejka’s fifth start on PGA TOUR Champions, having Monday qualified for his first two events before winning the Regions Tradition.
  • Titleist golf ball players have won all seven events played this year on the over-50 circuit.

JAPAN TOUR | Gate Way To The Open miz Open

Playing a NEW Pro V1x golf ball, Juvic Pagunsan claimed the first victory of his 10-year career on the Japan Tour while earning a spot in this year’s Open Championship at Royal St. George’s.

  • Pagunsan, 43, closed with a 4-under 68 to win the rain-shortened event by three shots.  

KOREAN TOUR | KB Finance Liiv Championship

Kyongjun Moon claimed his second KPGA tour title, trusting a NEW Pro V1x golf ball to a final-round 3-under 69 and one-shot victory.

  • Nine of the 11 players who finished among the Top 10 and ties relied upon Titleist golf balls for their success.
  • Titleist was the top choice in golf ball (97/67%), drivers (64/44%), fairway metals (65/40%), irons (65/45%), wedges (256/65%) and putter (69/48%), sweeping every major equipment category.

CHINA TOUR | Zhengzhou Classic

Yanwei Liu rolled his NEW Titleist Pro V1x golf ball in from 6 feet for birdie on the 72nd hole to win his first China Tour title by one shot.

  • Liu topped a leaderboard that featured Titleist golf ball players in the Top 10 positions.
