Karmis leads 1-2-3 finish for Titleist golf ball players in South Africa

Titleist golf ball players secured the top three positions on the leaderboard at the Sun Sibaya Challenge, where Titleist golf ball loyalist Peter Karmis (Pro V1x) topped the field to claim his third Sunshine Tour career title.

“It’s a relief,” said Karmis after his win in the rain on Mount Edgecombe’s Course 2. “It was tough out there and I was quite nervous most of the day. I’m very pleased that I managed to pull through.”

Karmis put an exclamation point on the victory with an eagle 3 on the final hole, the par-5 18th.

The 35-year-old posted an 18-under-par 198 total to finish three shots clear of Titleist Brand Ambassador Oliver Bekker (Pro V1x). Titleist golf ball loyalist Tyrone Ferreira (Pro V1x) claimed solo third another two shots back.

TITLEIST BY THE NUMBERS

Titleist was the overwhelming field favorite in golf balls at the Sun Sibaya Challenge with 77 players trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than four times the nearest competitor with 18.

The win was the eighth for Titleist golf ball loyalists on this season’s South African Tour.
