Podcast: On the Tee with Davis Love III

Sixteen years ago, Titleist introduced the first Pro V1 golf ball on Tour at the 2000 Invensys Classic. Forty-seven players put a Pro V1 in play that first week it was available, the largest shift in equipment adoption at one event in the history of the game.

Titleist is back in Las Vegas this week where we're once again introducing something exciting - prototypes of the new Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls. Titleist Brand Ambassadors and golf ball loyalists will put the new prototypes to the test at this week's Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, signifying one of the final performance validation checks for Titleist Golf Ball R&D as we prepare to bring these new products to market.

One player who was among those first forty-seven to play a Pro V1 in competition back in 2000 was Titleist Pro V1 loyalist Davis Love III. The captain of this year's victorious United States Ryder Cup team, Davis is just now starting to focus on his own game again.

As the only player in this week's Shriners field who was also here in 2000, Davis has some unique perspective on the Pro V1 golf ball and the impact it's had on the game. We captured some of his thoughts and we're bringing you the exclusive audio here in our latest podcast.

So sit back and join Titleist Director of Tour Communications, Joe Gomes, as Davis recounts some of his favorite recollections from an important chapter in Titleist's history.
