Smith Captures Maiden Euro Tour Title in Germany

It was an all-Titleist golf ball playoff at the Porsche European Open where Titleist golf ball loyalist Jordan Smith (Pro V1) topped defending champion Alexander Levy (Pro V1x) for his maiden European Tour title.

Trailing by a shot on the 18th tee at the Green Eagle Course near Hamburg, Smith holed a 10-foot birdie putt to join his playing partner Levy at the top of the leaderboard at 13-under 275, two shots clear of their nearest competitors.

The Englishman birdied the second extra hole, two-putting from over 90 feet to win his first title in his 25th European Tour event.

“I’ve loved it all,” Smith said of his journey on the European Tour. “It’s been nerve-wracking at times, but I’ve really enjoyed it. I had a really good start to the year and the first aim was just to secure my Tour card, which I managed to do. And then the second goal was to win an event, which I’ve (also now) managed to do. It’s all a bit surreal.”

Congratulations, Jordan!
