Thomas, Porteous and Uihlein Lead 8-Win Week for Titleist

The winning ways continued this week for players trusting Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls, as Titleist Brand Ambassadors and golf ball loyalists combined for eight more titles around the globe.

With these latest wins, Titleist golf ball players have now recorded 146 victories across the worldwide professional tours, more than six times the nearest competitor with 23.

Taking center stage this week, Titleist Brand Ambassador Justin Thomas relied on a Pro V1x golf ball, new 718 MB irons and a full bag of Titleist golf club equipment to capture his PGA Tour-leading fifth victory of the season at the Dell Technologies Championship. Thomas edged out fellow Titleist Brand Ambassador Jordan Spieth (Pro V1x), who finished runner-up for the second week in a row in the playoffs. Spieth and Thomas are now ranked 1 and 2, respectively, as the playoffs resume in two weeks at the BMW Championship in Chicago.

At the European Tour's D+D Real Czech Masters, Titleist golf ball loyalist Haydn Porteous (Pro V1x) closed with a 3-under 69, securing a two-shot win and his second career European Tour title.

Back in the U.S.,Titleist Brand Ambassador Peter Uihlein (Pro V1x) fired a Sunday-best 6-under-par 65 in a come-from-behind one-shot win at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship, the first in the four-event Web.com Tour Finals series. With the win, Uihlein earned a PGA Tour card for the 2017-2018 season.

Titleist Golf Ball Loyalist Scott McCarron (Pro V1) continued his stellar play on the PGA Tour Champions, capturing his tour-tying fourth victory of the season at the Shaw Charity classic.

In South Africa, Titleist golf ball loyalist Jared Harvey (Pro V1x) broke through for his first career win on the South African Sunshine Tour, winning by four shots at the Vodacom Origins-Zimbali event.

In Japan, Titleist golf ball loyalist Hyun-Woo Ryu (Pro V1x) earned the second JGTO title of his career, outlasting two players in a playoff to capture the Fujisankei Classic crown.

Just to the west, Titleist golf ball loyalist HyungSeok Seo (Pro V1) captured the DGB Open to claim his first career KPGA tour title. Seo posted back-to-back 6-under-par 66’s on the weekend en route to a 20-under 268 victory total.

And finally, on the Australasian Tour, an amateur competitor relied upon the Pro V1x golf ball to capture the NT PGA Championship in wire-to-wire fashion, earning a decisive six-shot victory for his first Australasian Tour title.

Titleist Pro V1 loyalist Haydn Porteous posted a 13-under 275 victory total at the D+D Real Czech Masters, edging overnight leader and Titleist Brand Ambassador Lee Slattery (Pro V1x) by two shots.

The win marked the second career European Tour title for Porteous who recorded his first top ten finish of the season last week at the Made In Denmark.

Titleist was the most played at the event with 113 players trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than seven times the nearest competitor with 15. Porteous' victory marks the 20th for Titleist players on the European Tour this season, four times the nearest competitor with 5.

Titleist Brand Ambassador Peter Uihlein (Pro V1x) registered seven birdies in the final round of the Nationwide Children's hospitals Championship, including four over a five hole stretch on the back nine (Nos. 11,12, 14, 15). He finished with a 14-under-par 270 victory total, one clear of Titleist golf ball loyalist and overnight leader Ryan Armour (Pro V1x)

This was the first event of four in the Web.com Tour Finals, where the top-25 finishers in the cumulative money standings earn a 2017-18 PGA TOUR card. With the win, Uihlein is guaranteed to finish among the top 25.

Titleist was the most relied upon golf ball at the event with 100 players trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, , nearly six times the nearest competitor with 17 and more than all other golf balls combined.

Titleist was also the top choice in hybrids (18), irons (34) and wedges (174).

Titleist Pro V1 golf ball loyalist Scott McCarron carded a 16-under 194 victory total at the Shaw Charity Classic, earning his tour-tying fourth win of the season and the third in his last six tournaments.

Titleist golf ball loyalists Kevin Sutherland (Pro V1x) Scott Dunlap (Pro V1) and Todd Hamilton (Pro V1) tied for third at 13-under.

McCarron earned a one-shot victory over Sutherland two weeks ago in the Dick’s Sporting Goods Open. He also won the Allianz Championship in February and captured his first major at the Senior Players Championship title in July.

Titleist was the most played golf ball at the event with 56 players trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than five times the nearest competitor with 11.

The win is the 13th by Titleist players on the 2017 PGA TOUR Champions, 10 more than the nearest competitor with 3.

With his playoff victory at the 2017 Fujisankei Classic, Titleist golf ball loyalist Hyun-Woo Ryu (Pro V1x) collected his second career JGTO crown. His first victory came at the 2012 Coca-Cola Tokai Classic.
