Titleist golf ball loyalist Anthony Wall (Pro V1x) earned a 1-up win at the Aberdeen Asset Management Paul Lawrie Match Play, marking his second career European Tour title.

His first triumph was back in 2000 at the Alfred Dunhill Championship in South Africa, and with this latest victory, Wall brings some perspective back to the winner’s circle.

“Yeah, I mean, 16 years is a long time,” said Wall after the win. “That's a career for most golfers, but between wins, it's incredible. It's difficult, isn't it? I'm just so, so proud to still be doing my job at 41, let alone win again. And beat some good players.”

Wall birdied the par-5 11th hole to go 1-up and secure a lead he would never relinquish.

“You have to keep believing,” Wall reflected. “Yes, you have your down points. You get your up-and-downs, but you have to always believe that you're still dedicated enough and still disciplined enough to do it. It's really quite strange. I feel like I've got better every year. I feel like I'm playing as good -- far better than I ever did.”

Titleist golf ball loyalist James Morrison (Pro V1x) led the entire way in his 4-and-2 victory in the consolation match, opening his round with a run of birdie, eagle, birdie.

The win was the 19th for Titleist golf ball players on the European Tour this season, nearly five times the nearest competitor with four.
