Yoon's win in Korea rounds out 5-win week for Titleist golf ball players


The winning ways continued around the globe for Titleist Brand Ambassadors and golf ball loyalists this weekend, as Pro V1 and Pro V1x players claimed five titles across the worldwide professional tours. The 5-win week was headlined by Titleist Brand Ambassador Justin Thomas (Pro V1x), who closed with an 8-under-par 64 at TPC Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia to secure his second straight CIMB Classic title.

And on the European Tour, Titleist golf ball loyalist Padraig Harrington (Pro V1x) edged fellow Titleist golf ball loyalist Andy Sullivan (Pro V1x) by a single shot to win the Portugal Masters.

JungHo Yoon (Winner): Titleist Pro V1x golf ball, 917D2/8.5° driver, 915Fd/15° fairway metal, 915H/18° hybrid, 716 AP2 (3-PW) irons, Vokey Design SM6 gap/52.08, F-grind and lob/58.08 M-grind wedges

Titleist Brand Ambassador JungHo Yoon (Pro V1x) earned a two-shot victory at the DGB Financial Group Daeju Gyeongbuk Open to secure his first win on the Korea PGA Tour.

Yoon closed with an even-par 72 en route to a 20-under-par 268 victory total.

Titleist golf ball loyalists JunGon Hwang (Pro V1) shared second place with InHoi Hur (Pro V1x).

Eleven (11) of the 13 players who finished among the Top 10 and ties relied upon Titleist golf balls for their success.

TITLEIST BY THE NUMBERS

 Titleist was the overwhelming field favorite in golf balls at the Gyeongbuk Open with 94 players trusting a Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball for their success, nearly 12 times the nearest competitor with eight and more than all competitors combined.

At the Japan Tour's Bridgestone Open, it was a Titleist 1-2-3 finish as the winner trusted a Titleist Pro V1x golf ball to finish one shot clear of Titleist golf ball loyalist Kyoung-Hoon Lee (Pro V1x) and two shots ahead of Titleist Brand Ambassador K.T. Kim (Pro V1x).

The champion fired a final round 4-under 67 en route to a 14-under 270 victory total. The win marks the fourth JGTO crown of his career.

TITLEIST BY THE NUMBERS:

 Titleist was the top golf ball choice at the event with 47 players trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, compared to 28 for the nearest competitor.

The win was the ninth for Titleist golf ball loyalists on this season’s JGTO, more than twice the nearest competitor with four.

And on the Australasian Tour, the amateur winner of the Queensland Open relied on a Titleist Pro V1x golf ball as he carded a 7-under-par 273 en route to a three-shot victory total.

The champion, who finished runner-up at the recent Asian Pacific Amateur Championship, becomes the first amateur to win the event since 1991.

 Titleist was the overwhelming field favorite in golf balls with 107 players trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than 10 times the nearest competitor with 10.

The win was the 10th for Titleist golf ball loyalists on this season’s Australasian Tour, compared to one (1) for the nearest competitor.
