I usually carry 2 sleeves of Pro V1's and 3 slightly used balls.

It also depends on the courses that I will be playing. The tougher courses requires 3 to 4 sleeves especially if I'm fighting my swin.

I have 2 main ball pockets the top one carries my prov1x balls that i play and there is usually 6 to 12 in there and the pocket below is busting full of prov1 balls i have found that are in very new condition; I dont know what to do with those prov1 balls lol but the pocket is full maybe 11 or 15 and no more can fit. I have in the cooler pocket the prov1x that I shot my lowest round (-2)  and I keep it in there to preserve the awesomeness and keep it close. I have a long large side pocket that i throw anny found balls I come across and give them to my buddy who needs free balls.

Who wants to trade me a pocket full of prov1s for prov1xs?

I carry 6-7 new prov1x balls and 2-3 used ones. When the used ones get to scuffed up I put them in the shag bag. I don't think I have ever lost more than 3 a round.

I usually carry around a dozen in my bag at a time. If I do find one on the course I will also put it in my bag for another day. Sometimes on any given day you can find a TON of them just lying around.

40-50 balls must be quite the load -- esp. if you are walking. But, it would give you great exercise.

That sounds close to what I had when I cleaned out my bag for the first time in a while. Had a little bit of everything in there. New and used balls. I think I had 50 plus and probably a dozen and a half were brand new! Now 1 sleeve each ProV1 and ProV1X and about 6-8 previously played balls.

I have way to many, when I clean out my bag I leave about 12 mostly new. I do keep balls I have found, to play with if they are good and to use as practice balls if they aren't.

I carry a sleeve of new Pro-V1x, along with the ball I am playing. I carry Pro-V1's in case I need a provisional ball. I also find a lot of balls. So I might start out with 10, but have about 20 in the bag at the end of the round.

9 holes - six balls; 18 holes - 10 balls:  all new balls

When playing just 9, I carry my bag for the exercise.  So fewer balls = less weight.  When I play 18, I either walk with a pushcart or use a golf cart.  So four extra balls is not a big deal.

I do pick up balls I find on the course, if they obviously have been abandoned.  I am curious as to how different balls play when putting and chipping.  Otherwise, I pick them up for my co-worker.

I like spudstarch's comment about putting found balls on the next tee to avoid confusing players on course.  I might start doing that as well.

Since I am recovering from Colon Cancer Surgery, I now have just 6 Titleist Pro V1 Balls in my carry bag. I am only now carrying 4, 6, 8, PW, W Titleist 775CCB Irons and a swoosh 56 Degree multipurpose SW and a Ray Cook M-1 Face Balanced Putter.

Three of the Titlelist balls were given to me by my son who was the Head Pro at Elk Creek Country Club in Northern California. The other Three Titleist balls were also given to me by my son and they have my name on them. I had given Steven my "old" set of Titleist Tour Edition Irons (when I found a SW Head to match the one he lost while in High School). The set was played with only 2 years (not counting Steven's use of them) and had been in the closet for over 20 years. He told me that he would have the SW re-shafted and try them out.

He called and told me that those Titleist Clubs were now his #1 set even replacing the set of TM Irons.

Titleist is a GREAT Brand and they have always served me well.

    Keep up the GREAT Work.

I keep 3 sleeve's of new balls and 6 used game worthy balls in my bag.. I do pick up abandoned balls that I find and give them to my youngest brother. He will play any ball that he can get for free. I bet as a result he hasn't bought any new balls in years.

I pickup all my new balls a couple dozen at a time on eBay when I can find a good deal. I currently have 6 dozen of the newest year balls, so Im set for quite some time. I like to sit down when I have some down time and watch golf and mark all my new balls all at once. Gives me something to do and I dont have to worry about marking any balls while on the course....

My younger brother (by 12 years) is an awful golfer - but he tries. He only plays when I come to Dallas which I have not done in 3 years. He buys Titleist Balls at Wal-Mart (Grade B 24 Pack for 14.96) which he manages to lose before we finish. I usually bring some old Titleist's that I have found but he hates to use those that have scratches on them. He doesn't keep his Titleists long enough to scratch them up :)

Since I am just getting back into Golf (just chipping and putting for now), I have bought some of the Grade A Titleists at Wal-Mart 12 pack for $24.97 and they have been excellent.

I did hit a full shot last week with my 8 iron (for me - since I can only get the club a little past waist high). I hit a Titleist Grade A from the TWU Pioneer Golf Course (in Denton, Texas) from near the chipping and putting green toward the #3 hole. I hit it flush and walked it off (I thought when I hit it that it might carry the green and go into Mingo Rd.) -- the distance was only 100 yards and that was downhill to the green. I used to hit my 8 iron 150 yards but that was 3 years ago (when I was 67) and was beginning to feel ill - due to the Colon Cancer growing.

My goal for this year is to be able to play 9 holes in a cart and break 40 on the front side. The 18-hole "Pioneer" golf course at the Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas features 5,676 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 69 .

I used to call the "Zoo" (The 18-hole "Pioneer" golf course) as all of my buddies called it --- An Old Man's Golf Course -- Well now I qualify.

Here is a link to the Zoo's lay out :

    13 Total

    12 ProV1's + 1 ProV1x.

I asked my little guy before a round to put some balls in my bag before a tourney and he said because i play the number 13 in need to have 13 balls.   It was funny at the time and I finished second that day so I stuck with it.

I like to keep a dozen balls in my bag when I play. When I find balls I'll put them in a different slot of my bag so I can clean them when I get home. If they are in good condition i'll just put them in the side of my bag which I keep my other golf balls.

I usually carry a few sleeves of ProV1x in a dozen box.  I use about 4 balls a round and keep any balls I find.  I donate balls that are scraped or balls I don't like to kids groups (SC Junior Golf Association, First Tee, etc).

I normally put 3 dozen in my bag and then refill it when neccesary.  Typically, a few dozen lasts me most of the season but it can vary depending upon how well Im swinging the club, how often I play and how difficult the courses are.
