I just got mine in the mail yesterday (Nov 10, 2015) and will be using them tomorrow (Vets Day) on a local course in Tampa, FL. Can't wait! I agree with you, they feel like the new NXTs, but not sure. I'll post on how they play.

Played yesterday with the Test Balls. First feel was similar to the NXT Tour that I play regularly. I play a small fade and with the test ball I was able to drive it a little straighter (hence a slight more distance). The action on the green was really good, as it held the green on all approach shots. The durability of the ball was exceptional (hit a tree I was trying to go over from the fairway and it never left a mark). The ball flight itself was a little higher than my normal ball flight, but not to the extreme. Had good action on the green from out of a bunker too. The bunker had almost no sand, so I had to depend on the ball to perform, and it did. With the similarities to the NXT Tour, I would say these are probably the newest version of the NXT S. I would definitely play them again.

I got mine and played saturday. I really liked them. The ball seemed to jump off the club face and i got atleast 10 yds more on each shoot.

Are you basing your guess on the dimple pattern? The dimples are definitely larger than Pro-V1's.
At work right now, so I don't have them with me. But mine are all Black, including the number, which used to mean that the ball is 100 compression. I think red numbers signify 90 or less. I'll take picture when I get home and post. They could be either ProV1 or NXT. Won't be able to tell until I test them out tomorrow.
Here's what i received. can't wait to use them at the course tomorrow! Thanks to Titleist for the opportunity!

Who else has got them in the mail? I'm excited to try them out. I'm gonna take a shot in the dark. I feel like they might be the new Titleist NXT tours. If you have also got them in the mail. Feel free to chat about it and tell me how you like them or dislike.

i put mine in play today which based on the cover are not Pro v's. Played side by side with the RZN Black in 56 degrees and 10mph wind and these held their own. About the same distance off the tee and pretty soft around the greens today which isn't usually the case with me for a non urethane ball. Played 18 holes and not a mark on them. If the price point is good, so far I'd put them in the bag.

Just tried 1 of the new test balls (white option). Temp in lo 50''s so hard to compare to usual distance. Ball flew wel and seemwed to travel same distance as my NXT tour but felt much firmer. Did not have the same soft feel I get from tour s. Seemed a bit quicker off the putter as well. Will wait until trip this winter to try the other 2. I may have a different opinion in warmer weather.

I got a sleeve of test balls today from titleist, but no letter. I think they are velocity because of the orange numbers. I may have requested velocity when I signed up as a member of team titleist. Will let you know how I do with them on thurs when I play next.

I got a sleeve of the red numbered white balls last Wednesday. I was beyond excited to get these and test them out since I had a golf trip planned for the weekend. These balls were put to the test in all sorts of conditions. One day was 80 with a 10-12 mph wind, one day was raining and mid 70's with no wind and the third day was 53 with a 15-17 mph wind.
I played 45 holes with one ball before it plugged in some soft, wet rough never to be found again. The durability is fantastic. The ball looked as if it had only been played for 18 holes.
The ball had a nice soft feel to it, flew straight and just as far as the ProV1x or Tour Preferred I usually play. The was workable in both directions with relative ease on long and mid iron shots to the green. They did not spin as much as my regular balls but that worked out great this weekend as the first 2 days the greens were soft and the ball should have been ripping back, especially on the short par 3 tee shots. It made distance control very easy to manage. The ball was also easy to control around the green with chipping and putting. Over the 3 days I had 2 eagles and 8 birdies.
I would really like to know what ball this is so I can get more of them when they are available and make them my standard gaming ball.
Thanks for the opportunity Titleist.

Just played my first round with the new Tru Soft. I think I lost a little distance, but they were great around the greens. I'll still stick to my Pro V1x, but with all the leaves, it just makes sense to not throw away Pro V1x's.
Play Well,

Dear Team Titleist,
Thanks for sending me a sleeve of "Test" balls to give a go last week. I took them out on the course yesterday and LOVED them! I have yet to receive the survey and can not wait to provide my feedback. I compared it to the current ball I use and hands down had a better feel from Green to Tee (I typically start at the green and work back when testing a golf ball). Any way to find out what ball it was using so I can go to the pro shop and grab a box?
Thanks guys, great job!

I just received a sleeve of Titleist test balls in the mail today - thank you Titleist! The balls have an orange #1 on them. However, in my box, there was no letter with with instructions how to provide feedback ,etc....
Hey Guys, I did a side-by-side with the new Titleist Test balls you sent with the CM Soft I typically play and LOVED them! I suspect it's the soon to be released NXT but want to confirm so I can be sure to put them in my bag when they're released.
Keep up the good work guys! Looking forward to hearing from you.

Just got home from a work trip and sitting on the counter was a small white box from Acushnet. My first sleeve of Titleist golf balls!!! I am so excited. Now to explain to my wife my obligation to go play golf in the next two weeks.

I received my sleeve of the prototype golf balls last week. I loved them, I played two rounds of golf with the prototype ball. I live in West Texas so there is a lot of wind and t he balls bored thru wind nicely, around the greens they rolled well and spin was enough for me since I cannot create a lot of club head speed. I am a twelve handicap and I would like to know the name of this golf ball in the future so I can buy them. Titleist is my favorite brand and I play all titleist equipment. Thanks for making me a part of the Titleist R&D.

I was so excited (to the point of derision from my sons!!) to receive the sleeve of test balls, and had fun testing them, BUT, is there anyway of finding out what kind of ball I received to test? I have an idea of what it was but would like to know if I'm right. P.S it was not a Pro V1 or V1x.

I got my sleeve and played 9 holes "against" my regular ball (shhhh a srxn Z Star Xv) Titleist Test: 4 over 40. Z Star XV 2 over 38.
The 2 dropped shots v the XV with test ball were it flying LONG off a 9 iron form the fairway and it running out over triple the distance with a 7 iron in to a 174 par 3. Test landed 6 ft short of pin and ran 25-30 ft past hole. VX landed within a ft and stopped pin high.

Funny I got the email to fill out the survey but never received the test balls.

Too many mailmen play golf, and know what's in that box. : (
I had the opposite problem last year. Got the test balls, and loved them, but never got an email invitation to compete the survey.
[Maybe that's why I didn't get test balls this fall. (Or maybe my prototypes were 'swiped' before arrival).]

I just got them in the mail. The golf course I play at is closed for the season. Call me next year in the middle of May and I will give you the results. Bob

Received a three-pack of Titleist test balls with an orange 1. The dimples pattern is unlike any other Titleist balls that I have on hand. Through the years, I've played everything from the DT So/Lo, the DT Carry, Velocity, the NXT, and Pro V1s.
I liked the feel of this test ball off the face of my wedges and especially off the face of my metal X putter.
I made a birdie yesterday on my home course's 18th hole for the first time ever using the test ball — which means I've got to find out what it is — and where to get more.
Cheers.
