To me “feel” is integral to my game, whether the feel of the club head during the swing: the shaft loading, the soft feel of a forged iron, and the feel of the ball. One need not be a tour pro to be sensitive to what’s in one hands.

  3. I'm 73 yrs old with two hew hip and knees. Still play three day week. I have lost distance since it's difficult to get full torque turning on my follow though. I recieved a sleeve of the new Titleist Super Soft and picked up about 5-8 yrs over the cally Super Soft. That's huge for me at my age and skill level...I'm a 12 handicap. Good ball and recomended

Short game control. I want a ball that will perform consistently and is reliable through all scoring clubs.

I voted versatility. I need all the characteristics during a given round. But I don’t want any part of my game sacrificed because one facet is prioritized. Short game performance is important but not if driver performance is engineered out to get it.

  6. I voted for Stopping power on the Green. At my age I'm not going to drive it 300 yards but, I want it to stop where I put it on the green to give my self more of a shot at par or even Bogey! LOL!
  7. Consistancy is the key love the yellow PV 1

Distance due to losing some as I get older
  9. I voted versatility but consistency is an equally important component of versatility.. I need the ball to perform in all aspects of the game. Flight it both high and low....Low spin off the driver....with solid but controllable spin off my irons and wedges. The ball just needs to stop...don't need it to zip back 8-10 feet. Consistency in all of the versatility categories then becomes extremely important so that I know the ball will produce consistent flight/distance/dispersion/& spin numbers for specific shots.

    Hey Team Titleist,

It's time for another Quick Poll and this time we'd like to hear your thoughts on golf ball performance. A great golf ball has to do it all, from tee to green, but if you rank all the qualities that you demand from your ball, which attribute is your top priority?

Vote for your top choice below and feel free to share your feedback in the comments.

Feel around the green and putting is what I like best about the Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls.
  11. Feel. I think if you can feel the ball threw the club you have better connection, control of the ball. The same with a baseball or basketball.
  12. I put short game control due to the fact it encompasses numerous attributes such as softness, feel, bite, and true roll...all of which, when working in my favor that day, lead to lowest scores and confident predictability.

    Feel is everything.
Not only when you're hitting, chipping or rolling the ball.
But the feel of the ball in your hand when you take it out of the box.
    Feel elicits emotion.
    Emotion elicits joy.
    Joy is life.

    "Nothing feels like a Titleist!"
    That's my new phrase!

Consistency, to me means the ball will play the way I expect it. Less spin off the tee, more spin around the green & a good feel on all shots.....

  15. Lots of key attributes in the list but went for consistency. Once you find a right ball for you in terms of distance, flight and feel round the greens then having that delivered consistently is vital.

That's what you get with Titleist!

Feel is big for me. When I like the feel of a ball, my irons feel good, wedges, down to short game & putting. If the ball feels like a rock I don't have confidence from my irons thru the green performance. The changes to ProV1 a few years ago made it the best of all the worlds for me. Lower flight off the tee, but soft around the greens where I like the feel of the golf ball the most! Keep up the great work Titleist with the great golf ball designs!
