Is there such a thing as getting you clubs chipped these days , with all the new technology about. Some sort of flat chip sticker or something maybe under the grips. They'd be registered etc. I have them in hidden in the panels of my motorbike paint. They do similar. Theyve been doing it for years. Its called Datatag. You probably have them in the U.S aswell. Infact you will do, might be a different name. With technology these days couldnt they be tracked even??? Maybe I should get on Dragons Dens hahaha

There is a chip that you put in your golf bag for traveling and you can track it from smartphone LUGLOC. Ive used it for plane rides, but never on course, as my clubs never leave my sight.

would be good to add to clubs especially in pauls case with them being stolen. Maybe the 2nd hand shops could scan them and they would come up as who they were registered. Same with if the police found a set, They would then be identifiable also. Tracking would be a great idea. I just wonder if anyone/company had thought of it yet with all the advances in technology every 6months or so

Bummer- Will your insurance cover, less deductible? Worth a shot if you haven’t researched yet.

Paul, unbelievable offer. Nice to see there’s some good eggs out there!

Sorry to hear about your bad luck, Scott. Karma has away of coming around. Maybe they were golfers and now they will slice everything into the woods! Good news is, hopefully it will be covered under insurance and you can get new sticks! On a serious note though, sorry you had to go through that. I know that I always watch my clubs close anywhere I won't be right next to them. Those Titleist are like magnets to passerby's eyes!

hate them thieves.... ugh.. I also hate remembering when my bag was take before my round at a muni back in early 2000. Just after I checked in, the restroom is a few steps around the corner but upstairs. It was a terrible day.

Mean people and thieves suck. I hope you build a set of titleist back the way you like or recover your stolen set. Great to see the amount of cool TT members in this thread. Good luck Scott.

So sad to hear! I wish you the best of luck in finding them. I got lucky a couple years back my window got smashed but they left my clubs!

Hopefully the bond between club thieves and jail will be stronger than the bond between a golfer and his clubs.

My son had part of his set stolen today. He plays a different brand, however the suspected thief saw his clubs when he left it at his home course driving range. The suspected guy had the nerve to come up to him and talk about his clubs.

My son went in to the clubhouse to pay for his round and when he came back his 3W, Hybrid, and putter was missing. The guy was no where in sight. This happened in LV.

Fellow players and TT members please be aware that there are still jerks out there and they have no remorse as to what they do to others. Luckily my son is more optimistic, and kinda blew it off for now. He was able to borrow some replacements before he went out. I'll try to talk to him about trying some Titleist. As for me I usually always keep my clubs in sight now days....I'm even going to be more alert too. I'll keep them covered until I put them on my cart too.

    Sorry to hear.
One local course has had multiple thefts this year. Complete bags, Scotty headcovers, drivers, TT bag tags. Unfortunately most stuff is an easy target.
I've been thinking about trying out one of the GPS tracking devices, such as
Tile, that can slip into my bag. Your experience may be the boot in the #@$ that I need to finally do it.

Sorry to read this unfortunate news. The most priceless club in my bag is my custom 009. Believe or not, I take it with me to the bathroom at the golf course because I’m afraid it can be stolen by some lowlife.

As a retired law enforcement officer, I dislike thieves very much.
  15. I can so relate with you. After 2 months of being hospitalized due to my fight with Colon Cancer I returned home to find, not only my house was broken into, but my new set of AP3 ,TS2 and my Scotty putter was stolen. The entire set was supposed be a get well gift from my friends. I tried to claim my golf clubs on my home owners insurance, only to be told it wasn't covered.
  16. Really sorry to hear this. Really hope they turn up.

Don't get why there not covered on the insurance
  17. The set wasn't mine, I had no idea the set was in the house.. The insurance company told me, "technically the set wasn't yours." I was being honest with them about not knowing anything about the set. I only found out after my home was broken into and my friends told me about them.
