Hiking......added bonus: keeping the legs in shape for golf.
  4. Depending on the severity of the winter, golf season can last anywhere between 10-12 months a year in Albuquerque. In those two or sometimes three months where golf is not doable, I'll head up to the mountains and go snowboarding. In all honesty, I would much rather be playing golf than snowboarding any day.
  5. I workout mainly weight training, but this is mainly for my golf game as I step it up on in off season.
  6. I'm in Minnesota so in the off season I shovel snow.

Watching golf, planning golf trips, reading about golf, tweaking golf gear, planning for home golf simulator …… I may have a problem :-)

I work a lot, too much even.

I like to work on stuff around the house, and help my friends and family with stuff at their homes.

I enjoy spending my time at the beach, drinking beer, and with my wife.

When not on the course or at work, I'm either mountain biking, working on cars or competing as a co driver in a rally...

These days, I play or practice nearly every day, so there really isn't any time dedicated to other interests. I have liked golf since I was a kid, and played it on and off throughout my life, but never seriously until about 15 years ago when I gave up the one passion that overtook my entire adult life, which began as a teenager. Sailing.

I started small, but eventually skippered ocean racing yachts with many trips to or from Bermuda and the Caribbean. I was a USCG-licensed charter skipper in the Virgin Islands for a few years, and delivered (other people's) yachts between New England ports and the Caribbean as well. I won the 650-mile 1999 Bermuda Race from Buzzards Bay to St. David's Light in Bermuda aboard my own 47' sailing yacht, DAKOTA. (Google 1999 Bermuda Race Winner, Dakota for more info.)

In 2003, when I finally decided it was no longer affordable and time to do something else after 3 decades of nearly 24/7/365 sailing, I sold Dakota and changed gears. I took up golf for fun, but eventually, needed to replace to huge void I had leaving the sailing world, so committed to playing the game seriously in 2004. Over those 15 years I have played an average of about 130 rounds a year. For the past 4 or 5 years, it has been closer to 200 rounds a year. When I don't play, I practice. It is typically a 6-7 day golf week for me. So, there is just no time to focus on much else.

Wow that's so cool! It's a shame when you have to give up something your really good at but I guess life moves on for a reason.

    Thanks for that!

I love buying and listening to all my vinyl, and when I can I go out on my vespa thinking I’m in quadrophenia I would like a locker for all my gear at the club so I can then use the vespa to get to the golf and have a leisurely ride home thinking of the putts I missed........

  18. I am also an avid fisherman and baseball coach. When Im not able to play golf fishing is my main hobby and working out. I coach high school baseball and teach junior high so most of the school year is packed with athletics until summer.
  19. Shooting and Photography...
  20. I always like to hunt and fish in my free time. I try to golf when I can, and hunt when I can't play golf.

Golf! I teach elementary music, and summer break is approaching, which means golf season is near! My sons play sports as well, including golf, so I am busy year-round.

I personally love to fish. Perfect day for me is early morning golf. Afternoon on my boat fishing.... These never happen in succession though.

Travel.... but come to think about it, most of my travel has a golf element added to it. Not always, but pretty often. Maybe a bit of amateur photography too.
