Early morning and early evening are both beautiful times of day to be on a golf course. I'm curious which time of day my fellow TT members prefer;sunrise or sunset?

Sunrise, I have always worked the early shift so early golf rounds seem the best for me.

I prefer twilight. Teeing off around 4 and then finishing around dusk with the cooler temps of early evening is such a great feeling. The course is usually less crowded and the rates are lower!

I prefer sunrise but also like sunset because it is usually less crowded.

I tend to play in the morning one the weekends and the evening on the weekdays. But many times I'll play an early morning round and again in the late afternoon.

I’d play either way and enjoy them just the same as I try and break the regularity of the early morning so to be available and spend mornings with my wife. It makes the day interesting even though the morning round is much comfortable from the heat. There’s more wind challenges from the later daylight, typically, but it can really be fun. After a few but a nice sunset rounds, it makes me appreciate the early morning round much more.

I like both times of day. I play a lot of morning rounds when there aren't a lot of people out and I've played evening leagues for 20+ years and love finishing as the sun goes down. My only reservation about playing early though is the mornings when the dew is particularly heavy...I hate putting and seeing a rooster tail on my ball.

Sunrise - Quiet time of day

I love chasing darkness! It seems to be a beautiful time of day to me, all the noises and distractions come to an end. Seeing the sun set behind the trees as I am headed down the 18th is my favorite!
  12. Sunrise. I hate the risk of running out of light at the end of the day.

  14. Both!
I live in the middle of the course so see the best of both
The wildlife contrasts and the course looks so different at those times of day

Wow, they are both great times! I love the morning fog and the vibe around a quiet golf course in the morning. But a twilight round with a great sunset is tough to beat! If i had to choose id pick the twilight round!

Sunrise....I play in a men's senior league at the first municipal course in SC and we tee off at 8 am every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and if I choose to play on the weekend I play in a Saturday blitz that goes off at 7 am which is the earliest the superintendent will allow golfers on the course. They normally have specials on the the course after 3 pm and it takes forever. I enjoying playing on public courses but venture out to semi and private courses along the coast.

Sunrise to be sure though both are quite enjoyable. I always find when I am challenging the sunset the sunset always wins!

Sunrise is by far the best. We have a group that goes out every week at the first tee time and can get around the course in 3 hours. Always great to have the course to yourself and start the day with a great round.

I really enjoy both. But I tend to play more sunset rounds, due to work.

For me, it depends on the season. If it is summer I like to get out on the course early. If it is late fall, I enjoy late tee times. The heat in Texas is a major factor for me.

Sunset for me. I enjoy finishing up towards the end of the day which allows for some relaxing post round beverages.
