Play but distance myself from people and pull ball from cup with glove on

Ours is never very crowded so as long as they stay open, i will occasionally play. Off days and weekends. Today is my first "work from home" day so the tough part is looking out the window at the #1 Tee and not getting too distracted.

Impossible not to get distracted Dale.You must have intense focus. I couldn't do it...

Walking the course when permitted and skipping 19th hole may be the thing for a while that I'll adapt to. But for sure, I'll go out and play as regular as I could.

I intend on playing if the course is open and I get the all-clear from my spine doctor in a couple of weeks.

Had back surgery in February.....definitely staying away until around July.....maybe someone was telling me something in making the decision to have the surgery.......

Short of the 19th hole, I plan on going out when the courses here open. Most have indicated they will open but offer online payments and announce start times over a speaker.

With both the wife and I working from home, I don't think I'll get out much at all. I would enjoy a walk here and a walk there, but doubt it will happen. She is a principal and off until the 16th of April so she's home taking care of the kids (22 months and 7 months) she is going stir crazy already and if I go play golf, to have a little time to myself I may never be able to play again!

I’ll keep playing as long as it’s open and all the family are healthy, our club is doing it’s bit by turning the cups upside down so you don’t have to put your hand all the way in, they were thinking of keeping the cup up an inch or so, so all you needed to do was hit it,think the bunkers are out of play as they are taking in the rakes.....spacing out tee times aswell.

Plan on playing but our courses have made modifications to the spacing between tee times from 6 minutes to 15 minutes. No gathering of large numbers in the club house or on the course. For cart riders I can only assume they are allowing individual riders (they did not say though in their statement email) The strange on to me is they closed the driving range???? They only have 15 spots on the range & it is never full when I've been there but they closed all of them at every course.......Nor have they said if you can practice chipping & putting at the practice greens.

It's been cold & rainy for the last 4 days so I wouldn't be at the course right anyway, but these changes are thru May 1st, or longer if needed.

DM, the range may have closed because the balls could be considered subject to contamination. I would think chipping and putting would be okay, as long as you use your own balls.

So far my courses remain open. Pins still in the greens, sand bottles still there, rakes still out, ranges open. Carts still in use. No changes to tee times, yet. The snack bars are still open, but only for take away. Both have removed or otherwise noted that inside areas are not usable for gatherings. The league I play in has suspended play until further notice. I've been playing, but taking precautions.

I’ve been thinking about taking my daughter out to the course and walking 9. I’m not even sure if the course is open but it would be great to get a little time outdoors. I would think it’s safe as long as we keep our distance. No different than taking a walk in the park?

I am staying away until later this year..had back surgery April 2018 left me with temp paralysis in my legs but have been making progress.. hoping and praying to get out there swinging it...

Just came in from playing and see no problems. I kept my distance from other people. It was good to get out and see what I need to work on.

Been playing most days, but trying to be careful not to stand too close to anyone either on the course, in the pro shop, or simply when out doing anything, not even golf related. I'm definitely aware of keeping my distance from others, period. I'm wearing two golf gloves due to dry, cracking skin in the dry winter months, anyway, so that's helping from a virus protection perspective too. The bar and restaurant dining areas have been mandated closed. They are only open for take-out, so I'm not hanging out in there. I carry a small pump bottle of hand sanitizer I'm using in the locker room where I'm just changing my shoes. I've been very conscious of not touching my face with or without gloves. And, being a member, I'm usually able to take a cart out alone, even if I'm playing with others.

The course itself has their end under control as well, wiping down constantly every surface with a bleach solution, where people would likely come in contact in the pro shop, on the carts and the rest rooms. Generally, if everyone just assumes the guy near them has the virus and consciously takes the necessary precaution to protect themselves from everyone out there, we should be able to stay relatively safe going to the golf course. I feel much more vulnerable doing grocery shopping.

Plan on playing as soon as a few course open up around me. I'll walk and take normal precautions regarding the virus. Need the escape now that I'm working from home.

I’m stationed in Japan and things aren’t getting any worse here. I’ve played 4 days in a row this week and have a tournament this Saturday. Hopefully because of the travel restrictions and Japan’s fast response it won’t get worse here. I feel for all those who can’t get out play all around the world. Stay safe and healthy, TT!
