It all based on the side stamp.

Better late than never i guess. Finally got a chance to take the new Pro V1 out for a spin this weekend and very impressed. I usually play the AVX because I like the feel off of the putter as well as the lower spin and flight off of my driver. Hit the putting green before my round to compare the last version and the new against my AVX. The old Pro V1 and the new were similar in feel. The new was a little softer but not as soft as the AVX. Greenside, the Pro V1's both felt similar with more check than the AVX. Off the driver the new ProV1 was awesome. Just what I was looking for. Lower trajectory and about 15 to 20 yards more roll in the fairway. Irons were about the same but I'm not a great iron player so take that for what it's worth. The biggest adjustment for me if I choose to use the new ball is the spin on approach shots. I hit a 95 yard approach where the ball hit about 18" from the hole and spun back to around 8 feet. I usually don't get that much spin. My AVX would have hit and hopped forward a couple feet before stopping. I really like the new ball and am seriously considering changing when I run low on my AVX's. Thanks Titleist for the opportunity to try these new balls.

I was able to finally put the 2021 Pro V1x to the test last weekend. Play two rounds with them in Hilton Head.

Driver- I did not notice a big distance difference between 2020 & 2021 ProV1X's. Though my dispersion seemed
    tighter with the 2021 ball
Long irons- about the same results as the driver.
Short irons- this is where the differences really showed for me. Much tighter results for distance control
Chipping- great spin control. land, bounce(maybe a second bounce), spin and a lot less roll out
Putting- liked the softer feel off of the face of the putter

The 2021 ball seems to be more durable. Survived some cart path rash.

Overall the differences were positive enough for me to make the switch to the 2021 version

After all these years on Team Titleist, I was finally sent a sleeve of ProV1 new balls to test. Trouble was/is they came in January, and my Colorado course (Air Force Academy) has been closed until recently, and now only nine holes are open with a permanent frost set in about a quarter inch below the service. Hard to make a valid comparison, but I've tried. Wish I had been one of the lucky October testers. Anyway, with a small sample size shot comparison to my 2019 ProV1s, I can maybe see a bit more spin with the full wedges. Sorry, but that's all I have at this point. I am glad to have a chance to compare when spring conditions arrive, but I felt compelled to post this since I was given a sleeve. I'd love to be a tester again in the future...during high-country golf season and not the winter.

Thrilled at having received a sleeve of the 2021 ProV1x to review, I waited until an appropriate moment to give them a shot. Having some snow related issues in NY I went south to test my game. The picture is worth a thousand words.

During the round, I had better spin and the wind had minimal effect on the flight. As the greens here are a little difficult to hold(HaHaHa) I did manage to keep one on long enough for a par(12). Also went to the Titleist fitting center and had some trackman data to concur better spin, consistent flight and a much better angle of descent. Thank you for opportunity to review and this ball is pure!

  7. Had a great opportunity to try out the new 2021 ProV1 at TPC Las Vegas for a Golfweek Amateur Tour event.

Off the tee I noticed a small distance increase of maybe 3-5 yards. These new ProV1’s felt great off from my 716 AP2’s. Very consistent flight and spin. One of the major differences I took note of was my short game. I was able to stop the ball really quick on short chips and out of the sand they responded really well (I spent a lot of time in the traps). Wedge shots off the fairway had significant spin and I was backing the ball up much more than ever before. The response around the greens for me was great.

Overall the feel for me was phenomenal and I look forward to picking up a few dozen for this season. I have two left and am currently in Mississippi and will play a couple events while here. Can’t wait to use them again!

Thanks Titleist for for giving me the opportunity to preview and provide feedback and hope I have other chances to do the same!

  8. I was fortunate enough to get some of the new Pro V1x to test. Unfortunately it took until this week to take them out for a spin, due to weather that’s been uncooperative. I must say, I’m impressed yet again. The new Pro V’s appear to spin more and, which I’m always looking for is a little more height on my iron shots. I get the urge every now and then to try a different Titleist ball, but inevitably I always return to the Pro V1x. Great job, as usual!

I was able to put my ProV1 white box balls to the test while playing Tidewater, Barefoot Dye Course, along with a couple other courses on my trip to Myrtle Beach. This was about the third or fourth time that I have gotten to test and review the new year model and these were my favorite of the group. The feel off of the putter and "scoring shots" was what stood out the most to me. Those were some of the fastest greens that I've ever played yet I was able to spin the ball enough to hold the green in most cases. The distance was a bit of a surprise as even some of my drives that didn't feel "hammered" still got a great amount of distance despite the weather being a bit chilly. I didn't really get to test durability as I didn't hit a tree or cart path but my Vokey's didn't chew up the cover like they did in the past. Overall I was impressed with the new model and will continue playing it. I'm not sure if it was the golf ball or perhaps just a good swing day but my ball striking was amazing. Thanks to Team Titleist for the opportunity and I hope to do more in the future.

  11. Finally was able to miss the raindrops and try the balls, the ProV1. I loved them, a few more yards on a windy, wet day, great spin control with the wedge, and 3 less putts than I averaged for last year. Thank you for the trial, they are everything I want in a ball.

I was sent the Pro V1 to try out and review. I finally felt like conditions were good enough to give the balls a fair test as our fairways have been bit sparse but have started to green up. The greens have been in great shape.
The ball flew nicely in the 10 mph wind. I normally hit it high and this ball seems similar in flight to other Pro V1's I've used. Spin around the greens was fine and the ball putted very true. Lost 1 in a pond (bad hit using my hybrid, should have made the carry) and one got a small scuff from a trip down a cart path but the third ball I used for the final 6 holes looked fine after a little clean-up.
In all honesty I really did not see much difference to other Pro V1's but the performance was still all that I need from a ball. Thank you for allowing me a chance to review a great product.

I apologize for being late to the party so to speak. My last couple years have been a roller coaster and so this review had been placed on hold. I received a white box sleeve of Pro V1x. I love the 2021 version. Qualities I have come to love in the Pro V1x were still noticed. The firmness on the tee box and distance shots are still there, as well as the spin on the approach shots and short game around the green. The surprise came with the putting and durability. The cover held up well out of the sand, and there was no 'clicky' hardness when putting. After testing, I would say these are the best version of the Pro V1x I have gamed. Thank you, Team Titleist, for including me in your review process. If given the opportunity in the future, I assure you it won't take so long next time.
  14. I played nine with the new ProV a few days ago. It appeared like I gained a few yards with the driver. The spin seems similar to the last models. I also believe that I was getter a little more height from the ProV1x, which is very much appreciated. It’s incredible how the folks at Titleist can improve on a ball, that you would think couldn’t get any better! Titleist thanks for the opportunity to test these new ProV1s.
