A quality piece of electronics from a reputable company will last for years if taken care of. I upgrade only when the technology advances are so good that I can’t resist. I ALWAYS put my name and phone number on it. I use a small label maker and cover the label with some epoxy for added durability. I also put a small label in the battery compartment for added security.

I have a Precision Pro that I bought a few years ago because it had the slope and my Bushnell didn't. It's worked like a charm and the batteries last for many rounds. I rarely take a cart, but it has a magnet to use when I do. I have the No Laying Up logo on mine which suits me now that they are now part of Team Titleist.

Nikon for me also. Quality build, accurate.

I got my first Bushnell V2 w/Slope 12+ years ago and it still works perfect. I decided last year to upgrade to the Bushnell ProXE purely just to get the latest and greatest product (at the time). It's definitely an upgrade as far as the vision screen, technology, etc.. My only regret is I pulled the trigger a bit too soon and a newer model came out a few months later! :-(
I keep my old one on my carry bag as a back up, just in case.

My dad gave me his old Bushnell years ago when he upgraded about ten years ago, and it still works great to this day!

But, to be honest, I recently upgraded because I wanted one with the slope function and my old Bushnell was HUGE in size compared to whats offered today.
