I've played from Hawai'i to the UK, but also in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. I have enjoyed the pleasure and the grandeur of several courses in Alberta, Canada, such as Banff Springs, Stewart Creek, both Kananaskis Country courses (before the floods), and a number of courses in Calgary. Among the best courses I've played stateside are the old NCR course in Dayton, OH; Tobacco Road (tough!) in Sanford, NC; Champions Golf Club (Cypress and JackRabbit courses) in Houston, TX; Three Crowns, in Casper, WY; and some of the aforementioned courses in Maryland (Worthington Manor, Whiskey Creek, Musket Ridge). I've not been privileged to play the "name" courses like a lot of the folks in this community, but playing golf anywhere is always a joy, even on a run-down muni. To me, it's the people and being out in the fresh air, enjoying nature and my fellow players. I hope to continue playing for many more years and am anxiously looking forward to the TT Invitational at Pinehurst in two weeks.
