I've played from Hawai'i to the UK, but also in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. I have enjoyed the pleasure and the grandeur of several courses in Alberta, Canada, such as Banff Springs, Stewart Creek, both Kananaskis Country courses (before the floods), and a number of courses in Calgary. Among the best courses I've played stateside are the old NCR course in Dayton, OH; Tobacco Road (tough!) in Sanford, NC; Champions Golf Club (Cypress and JackRabbit courses) in Houston, TX; Three Crowns, in Casper, WY; and some of the aforementioned courses in Maryland (Worthington Manor, Whiskey Creek, Musket Ridge). I've not been privileged to play the "name" courses like a lot of the folks in this community, but playing golf anywhere is always a joy, even on a run-down muni. To me, it's the people and being out in the fresh air, enjoying nature and my fellow players. I hope to continue playing for many more years and am anxiously looking forward to the TT Invitational at Pinehurst in two weeks.

    That's an impressive list Pulplvr.

Looking forward to meeting you in Pinehurst, I grew up in Dayton and played a round or two at NCR, and we'll be able to talk about all the great courses.

Mostly, I agree 100% on your take of it being about enjoying a great game with old friends and making new ones. Exactly what many of us will be doing in two weeks!

Ireland, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, N/S Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Texas, Ohio, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Idaho, Washington, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Washington, and California. I often take the sticks for an extra day on business trips. Still have many great courses left on the list.
  4. My golf game hasn't taken me many places, probably the nicest place was Salem CC in MA for the State Championship in high school. And if I remember correctly a Senior PGA tour event was held there. Also played Beverly CC in MA for the State Champ another year, which was also a beautiful course.

Luckily, the military took me all over the world, and I brought my golf game with me :) I've been lucky enough to play in Germany, New York, Massachusetts (Home State), Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Wisconsin, New Hampshire, Vermont, & Texas.

My favorite was always the annual U.S. vs. U.K. ryder cup style tournament between the armed forces communities held at Woodlawn G.C. at Ramstein AFB. This was an absolute blast every year.

I've played mostly local courses, but I did get to play at the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Course when we were out there for a family trip, and it was breathtaking. I have two on my bucket list right now, one is the Floating Green at The Coeur d'Alene Resort in Idaho and one that is actually local, the Ocean Course at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort.

I truly believe there's no better way to experience the local culture of a place then by playing a round there. I've been fortunate to play all over the country from San Francisco to San Diego through the Mid West to the East Coast from Maine to FL.

Kapalua, Princeville, Torrey Pines, Harding Park, Sandpiper, University of Michigan, Keystone Ranch, Red Sky, Sawgrass, Kiawah, TPC Boston, River Highlands, Portsmouth, Ledges... the list goes on.

The best thing about golf is all the cool people you meet. Everyone from award winning scientists to elevator repair men. Everyone's got a story, and you can learn a lot from people in 4ish hours of golf.

I have been very fortunate playing around the world. Canada, Mexico, Ireland, Scotland, Spain, Italy, Philippines, and severalCaribbean Islands are the international places I have had the opportunity to play. In the US I have played in about 20 states, from Hawaii to Maine to Florida, to California.
My favorites are Carnoustie, Waterville, Pinehurst #2, Whistling Straits, and the next course I tee up on.

The highlight (to date) of my golf travels is Scotland (Turnberry, Prestwick, Western Gailes, Dundonald, Glasgow Gailes, North Berwick, Gullane and The New Course). I've also been fortunate to play Merion, Aronimink, TPC Sawgrass among others.
Still on my list - Ireland and Bandon Dunes.

    I've been fortunate enough to play a few of the courses on Golf Digests top 100;

    Pebble Beach
    Oakland Hills
    Crystal Downs

I live in Michigan so I've played a bunch of the Southeast Michigan gems as well as everything "up-north"
We are already planning a trip next year to play the new "loop" at Forest Dunes.
I've played quite a few times at different courses in Florida but the craziest was a round on Aruba! Wind never stopped blowing 30mph the whole time!

More important than the places golf has taken me are the friendships I've made through golf. I've meet some great people through the various Team Titleist and FootJoy events.

I consider myself quite lucky to have all of the great properties at Kohler an hour or so from me, so I have enjoyed many a round at Whistling Straits, The Irish Course, The River Course and The Meadows course. I have played Erin Hills, the site of the 2017 US Open a few times and look forward to seeing how the Touring Pros fair there.

Here is a listing of some of the more notable courses I have played in no particular order:

    Bandon Dunes
    • Old MacDonald
    • Pacific Dunes
    • Bandon Dunes
    • Bandon Trails

    Scotland
    • St Andrews Links
    o Old Course
    o New Course
    o Jubilee Course
    o Castle Course
    o Eden Course
    • Carnoustie
    o Championship Course
    o Burnside Course
    • Cruden Bay

    Sage Valley
    Medinah Country Club
    Rhode Island Country Club
    Yeamans Hall
    Country Club of Charleston
    Atlanta Athletic Club
    TPC Deere Run
    Butler National Golf Club
    Harbour Town Golf Links

I don't get to play as much of a variety as I did when I was a jr golfer, but a couple of years ago I set up a Pinterest board for all of the golf courses I have played in my life. I almost have 50 different courses - mostly in California, but I have played a few between Hawaii and the east coast.
